I think the FTC’s rules are hugely important for creating transparency, but I don’t really see it relevant to Lana’s posts as they were editorialized, branded photos from a SKIMs photoshoot. If Lana had been paid by Skims to post a candid selfie with a caption about how much she likes Skims, then I’d understand the importance of clearly labeling it as an “ad”. But the photoshoot was very obviously something Lana had been hired for.

I believe this is a rumour? I can’t find any source for this beyond a Tweet from @LanasChart. Neither the WWD article or BBB mention it?

No skips. I guess I’m in the minority that “warm” was an immediate standout for me—it sounds to me like peak-Kylie Minogue. “Hampstead” is gorgeous too. I think ES remains her best album (even after recency bias has faded). It’s so well executed.

This album is a lot better than I thought it would be based off the singles. Bluest Flame is a standout (Selena should buy more of Charli’s demos lol). The only real skips are the singles she chose to release 💀

Album is fantastic and gets better with every listen. To me, it’s even more cohesive and well planned out than BTW. I’m really glad she kept this to a 13-14 track album and didn’t let it bloat. Still no reason to have DWAS on it but whatever get those streams girl. IIRC, she hates deluxe versions (which is why BTW’s “deluxe” was marketed as a “Special Edition”), so I’m interested to see how/if she creates an expanded version of this album.

Maybe we should all just go shoot ourselves since that’s what she seems to want.

Honestly love this album for what it is. Was not what I was expecting given the visuals--but "How Bad Do U Want Me", "The Beast", "Blade of Grass" and "Garden of Eden" are discography highlights. I really wish the bubble-gum/boppy aspects of this album were also in the visuals, that's my only gripe. The hot pink vinyl color is perfect for this album, I wish the cover matched.
