One year ago (or thereabouts), Ocean Boulevard was slowly leaking while everyone had meltdowns over that moronic journalist describing Candy Necklace as "glitch pop" and the sweetest users here were accidentally posting scat, and here we are one year later prepping for Lana's first Grammy win 

Also it’s so weird having a one-word album name after so many years. Inb4 she changes it to “Your Lasso Around My Heart Pulled Tight - But I’m No Man's Woman” 

Giving Taylor AOTY for Midnights cheapens her other AOTY wins (which were objectively more interesting and musical) and I say that as a huge Midnights fan. OB is the only option 

Mariners Apt Complex and its lush harmonies and the way she adds power to her voice without belting or being too loud has always been my favorite vocal performance. 

I feel like Lasso is exactly where Lana has been wanting to go since mid 2019 with NFR/COTCC/BB/and some parts of OB. I am expecting an album full of "Bartender", "Yosemite", "Mariners Apartment Complex", "Let the Light In" and "Sweet Carolina" with a country/folksy twist. I am soooo excited to start hearing these songs, and given how she announced the album (not some random Instagram post with a pics art cover), I am expecting a fully-fleshed rollout with visuals, music videos, and etc

editing actually bc I want to make it clear that Nicki Minaj has done a lot of good with her public image. She is and has been a philanthropist since the beginning of her career. 
 

Why she’s ready to erase that legacy over a man (a convicted-felon, nonetheless) is beyond me; when she is very much someone who built a platform on female empowerment.

Do voting members get free access to all the films released this year, bc otherwise I'm not surprised by the Killers of the Flower Moon snubs...I doubt Apple TV+ has many subscribers (espc outside of the months when The Morning Show is on). 

I mean I’m def not holding my breath for AOTY, but she is walking away with a Grammy or two and if not I expect Taylor Swift to rush up on stage and grab the mic from whoever wins and say Lana should’ve won
