I have a few questions: is there an EU store that sells the Spotify picture disc? I can't order it from her UK store for some reason and the one on her US store is to expensive considering I'll have to pay 25 EUR import fees on top...

Also where is the cheapest place to order the yellow one in the EU? It's sold out in FNAC France...

I believe, that because of Brexit you‘d have to pay the same import fees, as if ordered from the US. Those two stores are the only one offering them tho, so you don’t have any choice either way.

Almost 300 scrobbles in 24h for this album :bebe:

Been trying to pick highlights, but it’s impossible. The only thing I dislike is the Rick and Morty outro to Homesick. Should have been another interlude after the song.

So its gonna be released translated in Spanish :defeated:i didn expected that im so excited. But i dont understand the title in Spanish. It says 'Violet hace el puente sobre la hierba' that is something like '

Violet makes the bridge on the grass. So it has a completly different meaning?

No, still the same meaning. A bridge or bent backwards is this pose:

TG and FIILY were supposed to be out the week after Season of the Witch and Looking for America, but they were both pushed back to August 22 or 23 to give Looking for America a bit of time to breathe with streams and have profits for the organization she gave it to. If I remember correctly, Fnd still had the original date on their website (or was it Google Play?). One thing for sure: Eclipse’s source still had the original date as the release until it changed last minute. A misunderstanding is comprehensible in that case.

but now, I mean, we knew the Feb 26 date since Jan 11 or 12. There was plenty of time to correct the data base. Even worse: it changed to March 19 to Feb 26 AGAIN! True, it could have been because of the March 5 changing to the 19th « last minute ». But honestly, we’re not into « this is all brand new » territory here.

Yeah I know about TG and FIILY, but they didn't go back and forth like here, that's what I meant. However truth be told, that there never was an official announcement; only our noisy selves are really to blame, so I wouldn't say it's old territory for her. Who knows what's going on in the background with the inconcistent database. The whole 5th March confusion with retailers palys right into that.

Her team is really a mess.
the fact that date changed is not surprising; same happened with FIILY and TG (and « last minute » at that). but that Apple Music hadn’t updated their base is another, especially that much in advance, this is clear lack of communication on their part.

Didn’t they correct the date inbetween tho? I don’t understand how this mess could’ve erupted. As much as we hate on Lana and her team in regards to releases, it’s hard to believe they went back and forth on the release. It seems more like a misunderstanding.

Anyway, stream Chemtrails Over The Country Club, Charger ft. Charli, Ungodly Hour and Life Support ???

  6. Pitchfork did her dirty

Beer has an impressive voice, and when it’s freed from layers of effects it can convincingly convey fear and resignation, or glide into a gleaming harmony.

The way she incorporates effects and still sounds gorgeous, is what makes this album so great. This review starts okay, then takes is a big dump.
They could have given it at least something in the higher 7s :whoopi:

In the meantime, I've been enjoying this new Madison Beer song which sounds like it was pulled DIRECTLY from Born To Die... like she literally interpolated Summertime Sadness' chorus melody in the bridge :rip: The pre-chorus and chorus of the song are also SO Lana

You can very easily hear her influences, I love that tho. She said Lana is one of her big influences, after all she sang Video Games on her tour.
Tame Impala fans should give Sour Time a listen. It’s crazy how she pulls both, Lana and Tame Impala (+many more), on the same album and make it sound like hers.

    Sorry for the offtopicness lol

Oh shit, glass raised and a cheers to you then! Oh sweet I'm hyped, love when an artist pops out of nowhere (for me, she seems to have a large fan base lol)

I haven’t been a fan for that long, but when I found out about her I got hooked instantly. As far as I know her fanbase comes from when she was 13 and released a couple singles under Scooter. However those are completely different from her 2018 EP (also worth giving it a listen before the album). This album is completely her sound, which makes me so excited for the road ahead of her.
Hopefully you’ll enjoy it as much!

Never listened to her before but her albums on deck for my midnight release listen. What can I expect? She's Flippin drop dead beautiful for sure.

Honestly she has so much range and shows that in the album too and it’s still incredibly cohesive -from beginning to end. It’s 3:25am here and since the midnight release I haven’t stopped listening, it really is that great. :wowcry:
