also nobody else agreed with me because Ian Fitchuk or however you spell it has long hair and glasses, but i’m pretty sure it was tucked behind his head and his glasses were off and it was him. He’s a friend of Drew Erickson, Gabe Simon, and Nikki Lane, and it looked a lot more like him than any of the other Ians. We know Lana loves to work within the same circle of people so i’m almost positive it was Ian Fitchuk

I’m awful at recognizing faces, but they look similar to me, and your explanation makes perfect sense! Maybe the mystery is solved after all:illumarina:

I think they might appear on the engineering and mixing credits. We also don't have the full credits, just the writers I think so maybe he's indeed a producer and not just an audio guy

he’s not in any of the credits :smokes: also they were working together in September right? the album would’ve needed to be turned in by September/October in order for it to be ready by March so it seems like it might be for the NEXT thing. she’s crazy 😭

I guess we’ll see! If he’s on TUOB, I’m super excited to see what his contribution to the record was! I’m shocked we haven’t figured out his full identity either way:raven:

Then again, she does typically like having 1 track ready for the next album when one record ends…:oopna:

    DIDNT THINK ABOUT THIS !!!!

also the fact that BB ends with her singing to her sister and DYKTATUOB starts with her singing about her family. KARMIC LINEAGE.

Omg wait this is such a cool observation!! It reminds me of the “out of the black, into the blue” in Get Free leading into “you make me blue” at the close of NFR’s first track. Her mind:oprah3:

  4. I’m 5 hours late, but I just saw BoZ’s tweets about A&W (assuming that’s the abbreviated title lol), and I’m so intrigued to hear it!

As much as I love the soundscape and lyricism of the title track, I’m particularly excited for is what the “variety” on this record will be! I’m definitely expecting it to be really cohesive, but the features—particularly Tommy Genesis—have me thinking we’re going to be very surprised (in a good way)!!

I definitely think we’ll see an extension of what he heard on Black Bathing Suit but possibly with more production and hip-hop influences!

I almost feel the random Migos collab wish, sending *some* song to Pusha T for a remix, and including The Trio on the last record could be hints at what this record could sonically explore, especially in a Lana-esque fashion.

We’re in for a fun ride!

Track 5 screams interlude to me. The pastor will probably give a speech in the background, Antonoff will put some ambient Violet-esque instrumentation, and Lana will sing a poem, as we move from the first segment of the album (tracks 1-4) to the middle segment with Batiste and the gospel/jazz realness. :creepna:

Omg wait yes. I can actually picture the guy saying something like the beginning of the NFR trailer!

  6. I love how much more dimensional the track sounds even though it’s still in the same vein of her previous work.

I have a feeling this is going to be one of the more classic-sounding tracks of the record—definitely expecting a few sonic surprises given the collaborators.

Also, the listing of songs that user on ATRL gave to describe the song really makes sense now—didn’t do it enough justice though :)  So so excited!
