I'm really excited as well cause even with Chemtrails and BB we got snippets very early on, months before (formally) announcing the album (TJF when it was still WHF and that BB teaser with Clay) so I'm sure there's something special about the next thing and the silence surrounding it. She's not even teasing the poetry book (after posting the Sylvia... poem like 80 times more than a year ago ) She has been probably working on LDR9 since even before finishing BB and if they were already mixing the Jack songs and finishing the Drew ones it has to be coming (and the fact that she hasn't posted a single snippet makes me think she's going to just announce it out of the blue when it's ready). If there's one thing NFR taught us is that she's definitely going to post a whole song as soon as she leaves the studio with it on a pendrive to plug it on her car radio so I don't think she's containing herself this time for nothing

In recent times... definitely. Didn't she literally announce WHF and RCS the same day or the day after the previous album was released? I think the biggest wait was from HM to LFL (and it was shorter cause Love leaked but it wasn't even 2 whole years between the HM album and LFL lead single)

She's probably taking a break doing whatever and traveling cause the album is actually finished at this point

Does Paradise count? Paradise (song) couldn't sound more different to the actual thing

I feel like the back half of Honeymoon only gets truly appreciated from Honeymoon stans Also justice for Lucky Ones I'll never understand why people hate that song so much. Is it the "cheesy" chorus? I think more people will like the song if it was the demo version with the drums (the superior version in my opinion)

Just one of the DNC guesses (also cause it's similar to BTD and LFL) It makes sense considering she's nowhere to be seen in any summer festival lineup (even the more lowkey ones). Not Iike I was expecting her anyway though She did say that singing in bars with Nikki made her want to hit the stage again but I don't know if she'll ever do another big tour considering how every subsequent one since Paradise was smaller and smaller (in terms of dates) even though she still sold very well (For example she sold out both her Spain dates in the LATTMT with ~15k capacity each). I can see her doing another small US tour (like the Endless Summer or the NFR cancelled one) but a world one... I can only hope

It's giving LFL + Chemtrails and I'm here for it. Still salty that Neil photoshoot wasn't used in the actual LFL album physicals it's one of their best

Yep I agree. I don't expect her to top the single charts but if she gets a big album campaign with nice promo and a couple of Dealer-size "hits" from that promo she could probably generate enough hype for good streaming numbers on the album. People thought she was over after Chemtrails and BB underperforming streaming wise but she still got nice numbers on Dealer and WCE. Brooklyn Baby and Doin Time are also doing great on streaming (+ every month an old song gets viral on tiktok, like The Other Woman recently) so there's definitely still hype for Lana (and she has a big and loyal fanbase too). At the end of the day it's Lana's decision if she wants to go bigger again or keep a low profile. I don't think her managers or the label have the power to force her to do promo at this point on her career Unless she made some kind of agreement with Interscope to release Chemtrails and BB her way in return of a big album next

Didn't she say her label wouldn't let her release digital first with vinyl coming months later (like Taylor)? Digital only feels even more unlikely... unless she meant a side project like the covers or the audiobook. But Lana is large and contains multitudes so who knows with her honestly

In my opinion the only "upbeat" track we have from Jack is Cinnamon Girl (and maybe TJF). Doin Time was produced by Andrew Watt (who also coproduced FIILY and I bet he's the one that made the song feel more bopp-ish and summer-y). Maybe they really recorded more [redacted] songs but if we get something similar to The Greatest or VB that would do for me . An electric guitar can make every song a bop even if it's in essence a balad. I'm not expecting full on pop production from Lana and Jack in 2022 (But I wouldn’t be against it tho)

Probably none of them too many details for an album that has not even been properly teased yet. Unless she surprise releases it (I doubt it) I'm not expecting a full record until at least 3 months after the lead single. I still think we're getting at least a new song this summer tho

She's so pretty but there's something weird about that first picture and I can't pinpoint what it is it almost doesn't look like her but all her features are the same to me. She really has a chameleon soul and face

I'm so thirsty for new Lana. I know we just got 2 albums last year (+WCE and the FJM cover in 2022) but all that Rob teasing and not knowing nothing about the sound of the record makes me impatient We just know there is piano, but every Lana album has piano and they all sound so different so I just hope she's indeed in the Interview Magazine June (?) issue so she spills about the album or gives us a new photoshoot cause half of the Chemtrails and BB publications used "old" pictures or just the Neil ones.

There's nothing Lana has done that can be really called controversial. Cancel culture has rotten people's brain into thinking celebrities have to be inert beings without a single thought in their brains.

She would pull off a Blair Witch kinda type of aesthetic so well
