He presented her award for Artist of the Decade on the Variety Awards back in December so I don't think anything happened. They also mentioned wanting to work together again so I guess they only made WFWF (unless there's some outtakes we don't know of)

I'd also prefer no collabs cause they tend to be very hit or miss but who knows this time... I don't think we'll see her with any of the qftc ladies tho

I have a theory (even though I'm not sure if I want to manifest this or not). What if her label wants another big album after the 2 very lowkey ones we got and that's why she could be having some interesting collabs coming. We know she contacted Kali and now with Rosalía following her AND her managers I sense something between them (and she just released her album so I assume it's for Lana). There's also Taylor but that's a bit of a stretch I think and I see her more in one of the rerecordings if they ever collab. A couple collabs with artists that are hot right now would bring attention to the album and if she finds the right songs for them she wouldn’t have to "sacrifice" her artistic vision. I mean she wanted to collab with Migos so I don't think she'd be against having some contemporary artists on her album instead of just legacy ones like Stevie.

I think it will depend on what schedule Lana wants to follow this time. Unless she scraps whatever she has now I'm almost sure the album will be finished by fall (or even sooner than that) but maybe she wants to release other things before putting out another record like the poetry (or even the covers/Nikki). It does feel too soon for another Lana era but she's been working on it for a while already and we know she doesn't like to sit on finished material for long. NFR was probably the last straw for her after having it blocked by her label for months

Maybe she's working on both things at the same time but Rob mentioned "songs" in one on his posts so there's at least 1 musical album coming I guess

There's no way she gets the physicals for July if the album isn't even done yet

I don't really care that much about poetry in general but I know she's really passionate about it so if that's what's coming next I'm here for it (but I'd be lying if I said I didn't prefer the album tho). Those publishing contracts seem to be pretty strict so I'm surprised she hasn't released it yet after delaying it from March 2021 (I think?) but maybe that wasn't even a real discussed date. We know the album is close (maybe not as close as we think) but if she's releasing other stuff before I'll be grateful for more Lana content. It's honestly crazy how she never stops working so I appreciate anything she puts out By the way... do we even have confirmation that we are getting another audiobook? Maybe it was just a one time thing to promote her first book and make it more "accessible" to people who don't read as much (like me )

I hope we get really interesting song titles for LDR9 similar to the ones on Violet. Those titles are AMAZING and while the ones on her latest albums are not bad they are not as eye catching in my opinion The Land of 1000 Fires, Salamander, Sportcruiser, Tessa DiPietro... it was serve after serve I appreciate the more mundane themes and how she incorporated the different metaphors but I want more abstraction for the next one

I'm having flashbacks to last year when they tagged Lana in some IG story and the winter issue ended up being Zendaya But this time it has to be a real cover and that means she's promoting something (hope it's LDR9 but maybe it's the 2nd book). Also he uploaded the picture too with the caption "I'm your man @/honeymoon"

I've been thinking about the polaroids and what if each one (or each session) represents a song or part of the album? Kinda like what Florence is doing with the tarot cards. @Niko Dealergo already mentioned it in the IG thread but the more I look at them, the more plausible it seems (or the more delulu I get I guess ). Each one of them has a very different feeling and look to it. 1. The DNC photoshoot. There's like 15 of them and it features the famous and mysterious jacket. I bet we are getting DNC's cover from here (if it even exists as a title). It's giving NFR beachy vibes. This has lead single or title track energy. 2. The flannel. What were they filming? I bet it's random footage of the landscape to include it in a MV for aesthetics. It's giving folk and Chemtrails. It has "this is my favourite song from the record" energy. 3. The witch. Maybe it's just the long dark hair and dress but (as we all said) it looks really similar to the Neil LFL photoshoot. It's giving dark and witchy vibes. This has sultry/slutty/ bop energy. It's the Cherry/Cinnamon Girl/TJF from the album. We know that Lana loves polaroids but there's something different about this ones. She usually just posts selfies or whatever taken on the spot with her iPhone so why are Chuck and her running barefeet around with a Polaroid camera all of a sudden? . They don't even look like they are from the same day (unless she changed the flannel for a dress just to take different photos, just like you would do in a photoshoot ). They are probably from some time ago and she posted them now cause the album is getting closer

It kinda looks like a cryptozoology documentary cover from the 90s or something I'm obsessed. She's either looking for Nessie or aliens so you have to include UFB as a bonus track

Is this supposed to be sung with the BPBP opening melody? I'm 80% sure this next album is going to be more upbeat and "fun" that the past 2 ones. I agree with what you just said. Between the pandemic, all the controversies, her wanting to tell her story etc I feel she didn't let herself have fun with the music this time and that's why the production is minimal so the lyrics are the main focus. The inclusion of The Trio on BB makes me relieved that she's still loves her bops

I guess it makes sense that Rob lives in the studio now if he's indeed pretty involved in LDR9 cause I'm not trying to downplay his talent and please correct me if I'm wrong but it's not like he's a professional pianist or a musical producer so it makes sense that he's putting in extra work to make something great for Lana. There's also the possibility that he's not writing anything himself and he's just playing the piano on some of the songs (which would be a sweet detail to have on her album)

Unless he brought like 5 different shirts to the studio and took all the photos the same day it really looks like he's been there imprisoned Poor Rob... the music industry is indeed ruthless
