Sorry for the essay but I still have hopes of having Lasso this fall. She unofficially announced it early enough to be realistic and she's been working on it for a long time: - According to her she has been working on it with Jack for the past 4 (?) years. I guess after or while making Norman and Chemtrails she had some "country" songs she wanted to use eventually and since Jack's security is tight not even insiders knew anything (they usually get stuff after it's submitted to labels and distributed). - Then BB happened so it was pushed. Right after BB she started writing with other people like her bf Mike and continued that route for Ocean but... she wanted to finish it at last so: - We got the "I hope you guys love country" IG story in the summer of 2022... even before announcing anything from Ocean (but right when OB was practically done with only CN left so she resumed the country work right after it) - She was in the studio multiple times that spring according to Jack and she also had some sessions in Alabama and I think someone there confirmed she recorded a couple of tracks. - A (probably) finished song in February. She usually teases new stuff from the studio while recording or in her car but Henry was uploaded as a proper studio version snippet so the Luke sessions were not in a really early state. So yeah I feel like it's realistic that there's a finished album and that it was already submitted so it's being pressed right now. The actual vinyl is what takes time so she didn't even need to have any visuals ready at that point. And since she was going to submit the whole thing around March she could predict a September date cause she probably already discussed it with her label Of course it's Lana so she could be tweaking the tracklist at this exact moment and we're getting a 2025 spring album instead and that's fine either way I guess

Well... she posted Cherry Blossom lyrics before putting it on Blue Banisters so they might be teasing PSB on Lasso It would be weird out of AKA tho

She posted CN snippet in August (around when she finished it and turned in the record) and we got the preorder in December. She posted Henry in February.... preorder in June?

Stand By Your Man is either on Lasso or the covers album (if she still plans on releasing it soon-ish). I only want one cover or none on Lasso tho but that one is sooo good

She has also been wearing A LOT of black this year... like for every event other than Coachella first weekend I think She's not really an easter egg girlie and maybe it's just coincidence but it's interesting/suspicious Her goth era

Love how she said "western belt" in Arcadia yesterday she's teasing. Even though she still had the first dress so there was no western belt yet I feel like the second outfit and the change from blue to black has to mean something (not only for the opening song). Like the finish of an era and the start of a new one maybe

She announced the Ocean announcement on that random event's red carpet so who knows I want to think that the album is already done but there are no updates cause it's still a bit far and she was focusing on coachella up until now. If it's indeed coming in September we have to get something in the coming months tho...

About the Neil pictures I don't know what to think... they could be like the Ocean Blvd landscape pictures but I feel like it's to early to tease the actual photos. When he first started teasing Ocean months before he put out unrelated pictures (those with the pink/red flowers) so it might just be his own solo work. It is indeed giving Lasso tho I'd love a dark desert vibe instead of standard yeehaw country

Lasso: I guess we'll have a title track as we always do so semi legit Prettiest Girl in Country Music: The Nikki collab but I don't think she's using it Hey Blue Baby & I Must Be Stupid for Being so Happy: The two country Jack tracks from around NFR... I doubt she properly recorded them for the album but they're cute Henry, Come On: The only "confirmed" track and we don't even know if that's the real title Four wheels moves the body, two wheels moves the soul: her IG caption and a popular quote so I think it's just about her love for motorbikes and Coachella entrance/exit Has Anyone Else Died For You: The Coachella billboard about SNL... the font is interesting so maybe it's a hint for a song too (?) It's the most suspicious one feat. Dolly Parton: She visited her home so maybe they recorded something or maybe she just wanted to fangirl Those are my guesses but there's basically nothing confirmed about anything

Even if it's still coming this year I prefer to not have the album teased again unless there's a single coming in like... less than a month. NFR had constant snippets and singles and Chemtrails/BB(RCS) were announced with close dates so even if it wasn't realistic we still were looking forward and waiting for a preorder almost daily It's been more than 2 months (I think) from the Lasso mention and Henry snippet and it feels way less (at least to me) cause we're not reminded every other week that it's coming with no official date I wouldn't mind a buzz single in May with a preorder in June tho

I'm sure the heart-shaped lasso is going to be present in the new era. Maybe only that particular drawing as merch but it's too literal to not mean anything at all. I find weird that there was no mention of the new album at all in her performance tho... not even a reminder that it's allegedly coming out this year

I wonder what are the new songs... I guess something like Peppers and LTLI or Stargirl? Cause she has performed all of her "lowkey upbeat hits" in the past (even Radio before it went viral). Maybe they meant new as a new setlist and not never performed before tho I hope she surprises us with some unreleased bangers When she opens up with: Ladies and gentlemen for the very first time!!!! You got me spinning like a ballerinaaaa

Her backup singers posted on IG (@/honeymoon_angelsingers) that the account is going to close soon and that they are excited for Coachella I guess they won't be around for the other festivals/shows of this year. I wonder if this means she changed the setlist a lot or if it's just a scheduling thing. Of course she'll have them for Coachella even if it's just for one song tho

I feel like there's two possibilities for the album sound: 1. It's a "compilation" album of just the country songs she said she recorded with Jack over these years (plus the new one(s) with Luke Laird) and she's keeping everything else post Ocean non country for the next one (LDR11) and that's why she straight up said it's a country album (I think it's the first time she actually describes her upcoming record with a specific genre. She said Chemtrails was folk/americana/country but not even herself was sure about it ) or 2. We're not getting a full on country album cause we're getting country + whatever new stuff she recorded after Ocean not necessarily with Lasso in mind. I guess it depends on how long she had the Lasso idea for cause she's allegedly been working on the country stuff for years and we still got 3/4 non country albums so she must be writing with different records in mind (kinda like having Norman songs and Chemtrails songs on the same period). My bet is that we're getting the second option. I'm sure she has some random songs she really likes that wants to put out as soon as possible and can't wait for 2 whole album cycles with vinyl and all

I think it's going to be mainly Lana and his landscape style pictures. He said that he was saving her outtakes for the book back in September (?) so we'll probably get a lot of Lana pictures regardless of theme (the released ones + the outtakes). I wonder if he'll add other artists (like Weyes last album) or not considering he worked with Lana for like 5 or 6 different albums and each one has various photoshoots. He could fill a whole book just with Lana and his own solo work of course.

I'm so dumb I thought he was teasing the Exit magazine cover cause it's under the book I'm so excited. Photography books are usually on the expensive side but unless it's a crazy amount it's probably worth it. Does he have any other books or similar on sale? I'm trying to see what prices he's around

I don't think we're getting the 2023 setlist cause she said they were making something special but I'm sure she'll sing all the BTD singles as usual (which makes sense for Coachella). I guess she'll also sing the other "upbeat" famous songs like Doin Time and maybe Cinnamon, FIILY, Peppers... The thing is that she shines way more with the slower songs cause she actually sings them entirely don't get me wrong I love her little dances and pointing mic to the audience but unless the production of the whole thing (staging, lights, effects etc) is amazing the show could feel lackluster for the casual listener if she just dances around singing every other line (which I repeat, is fine for her own shows since people mainly go to see her and find that endearing). I think she has a couple of surprises prepared for the show... I wonder if she'll have any guests on stage

If Lana was a standard artist we'll for sure get the first single around Coachella since it's an amazing promo opportunity and it would fit the timeline of getting a first taste of the album 1-2 months before the actual announcement/preorder. But it's Lana so I have actually no idea about what her plans are for this era

They worded it like it doesn't exist but it makes no sense to have that random placeholder there if they didn't work with Lana Also why did they mention Neil? Is him the only photographer for that magazine? I thought it was just fan speculation... Everything is so weird like why so much backtracking... is not like Lana is a mysterious artist that has to have everything about them made top secret. A magazine cover around Coachella and before a new album was kinda expected anyway so a "preorder went online too early sorry" would be enough. I don't know what to think
