I wonder if the Lasso metaphor is about the hold she has on her lovers or the other way around Or maybe is something totally unexpected thematically... assuming there's a title track of course (which I'm 99% sure of)

So... is there a solution for mobile yet? I've been having the "likes" problem for months now. I know there's a way to change the settings on the browser in a laptop and it works but I can't find anything in the mobile chrome app I'll try from another mobile browser and update

That Spotify bio was kinda cringey so I'm glad it's gone lol I doubt it means anything cause they would just update it with a new one if it was about Lasso and Lana is not an easter egg girl anyway Tough is still coming soon tho

Having a, for example, 10 track album where every song is really good is nice and pleasing but having a 16 track album where I love 10, like 4 and don't care about 2 is way better to me. I tend to listen to full albums so the concept of a record is important to me but for Lana I don't care... I value quantity cause the quality is usually up there during the whole thing. Like I might skip Beautiful or some LFL tracks but I still listen to them from time to time so I appreciate that they exist Of course more than 15-16 tracks is a bit too much tho

I don't find the silence worrying cause Ocean was also basically radio silence (we knew it existed and we had some vague BOZ teasers about an album he loved) and she announced it out of the blue. If she didn't reveal it in that random event it would have been a total surprise Lasso is coming

She's backtracking cause people expect yeehaw aesthetics and country and she's giving us Lana's genrebending magic Maybe she's worried that critics are going to say that she jumped on the country "trend" to be successful but she didn't commit in the end

I think she just means simpler songs with a more standard structure and more focused on melodies instead of having the lyrics being the central part of the song. Maybe something like NFR in the sense that it is insanely well written but it's not that complex lyrically (except Hope). But to be fair I think there are songs like that in all three of her last albums so we'll see. I was really impressed and I enjoyed a lot her diaristic and lyrical dense songs like A&W, WFWF, Fingertips (maybe my favorite song by her now) but her strength has always been more about painting pictures and telling stories than convoluted metaphors so I'm really excited.

It was really obvious but it's nice having rumors confirmed by Lana herself

She said recently that she still plans on releasing it this year so I doubt that she scrapped it unless it was a last week decision I think she just meant that it's not going to be as country as people expected after her initial comments on the record.

They are both signed to Interscope and they tend to space their artists' releases so the rollouts don't overlap too much. For example Camila's album was "delayed" a bit so it's not on the same month as Billie even if she's way smaller than her now.

Since the album is coming out in September we actually got the first three Lasso singles on April 20... Didn't you like Tumblebug Tumbleweed, Songbook and Brown Fences?

Now that Billie released her album Tough could come out at anytime Since it's probably Lana's song and she loves a random Wednesday release I'll start shazaming the snippet everyday. Nothing shows up yet tho I give it around two tweeks... if it's still coming out in September we're so close to preoder territory And even if it's not in September she said she still plans on releasing this year so either way it's coming out soon

I just hope we get some full production. I don't even need "bops" or fast paced tracks... I just want some nice layers. Something like Yosemite, on the simple side but with nice little elements here and there. I don't mind a couple of acoustic guitar Sirens-like songs tho

Please every bit we get from the MV looks different why are we in Chromatica now I guess they were just doing some rehearsals or test shoots these days and they are shooting the actual thing tomorrow? Or maybe it's unrelated to Tough who knows. I know Lana doesn't care but Billie is under Interscope too and she's releasing this week so they wouldn't want 2 big releases in the same period (assuming it is indeed Lana's lead). I don't think we'll have to wait too long tho cause Billie has no single out and it's going to be post album single(s) only so I doubt she'll go full promo for more than 2-3 weeks... June seems plausible and it's still very soon considering Ocean is not even 1.5 years old and Lasso coming in 2024 is almost confirmed so I don't mind waiting

I think the Georgian cars are just a random video/example of the stunts he directs. Maybe he's teasing something similar for the MV but I doubt it's from the actual thing

They said that Lana recorded back in February a 3 minute song with Quavo and that it might make it into the album (Lana's) . Then they recently posted some lyrics and confirmed the title. I feel like it's too much of a coincidence that the lyrics and visuals (so far) are giving Lasso to not be for Lana's record (unless she wants to have a cohesive era even with the collabs before the album)

I wonder if Chuck or Neil are there... I need some bts pictures I also need blonde Lana in everything so I hope there are no old visuals on the album (even though she always shoots really early in the making...)

I know the snippet has guitars but I didn't picture that kind of visuals for the song Unless the beats are just for the outro and it's an acoustic song I wonder if it's multiple MVs or even an album trailer like someone said

If Tough is for Lasso and we're getting it with a MV it's going to be the first time in ages that we get a real lead single with a proper MV to start an era We always get a random song she loves from the album first and then the "real lead". Unless we get Henry or another track soonish and this is coming closer to the album release/announcement

At least this time she said twice she plans on releasing it this year... our first NFR "date" was "I have no idea about when it's dropping" on one of her old twitter accounts

I expected a basic trap beat but it's actually so good ???? It's so lush. I can totally see this on Lasso cause I didn't expect a standard country album and it has pretty guitars but the fact that Cirkut produced this is so funny to me The insider said that it was a Lana track and we got the same type of polaroid and filter from Henry... and I don't think Quavo announced or teased any album coming soon so... it's Lasso time Even though I must say I find Quavo kinda boring as a rapper. It's like the less interesting version of Roddy Ricch Still excited cause it sounds really good tho

Sorry for the essay but I still have hopes of having Lasso this fall. She unofficially announced it early enough to be realistic and she's been working on it for a long time: - According to her she has been working on it with Jack for the past 4 (?) years. I guess after or while making Norman and Chemtrails she had some "country" songs she wanted to use eventually and since Jack's security is tight not even insiders knew anything (they usually get stuff after it's submitted to labels and distributed). - Then BB happened so it was pushed. Right after BB she started writing with other people like her bf Mike and continued that route for Ocean but... she wanted to finish it at last so: - We got the "I hope you guys love country" IG story in the summer of 2022... even before announcing anything from Ocean (but right when OB was practically done with only CN left so she resumed the country work right after it) - She was in the studio multiple times that spring according to Jack and she also had some sessions in Alabama and I think someone there confirmed she recorded a couple of tracks. - A (probably) finished song in February. She usually teases new stuff from the studio while recording or in her car but Henry was uploaded as a proper studio version snippet so the Luke sessions were not in a really early state. So yeah I feel like it's realistic that there's a finished album and that it was already submitted so it's being pressed right now. The actual vinyl is what takes time so she didn't even need to have any visuals ready at that point. And since she was going to submit the whole thing around March she could predict a September date cause she probably already discussed it with her label Of course it's Lana so she could be tweaking the tracklist at this exact moment and we're getting a 2025 spring album instead and that's fine either way I guess

Well... she posted Cherry Blossom lyrics before putting it on Blue Banisters so they might be teasing PSB on Lasso It would be weird out of AKA tho

She posted CN snippet in August (around when she finished it and turned in the record) and we got the preorder in December. She posted Henry in February.... preorder in June?
