This is like some Lana snippets. It sounds like her and nothing like her at the same time Assuming it's Lana could it be a new song? At first it seems like she's just humming nonsense but then there are some "lyrics". I hear "for a bad scene" or "vaccine" Maybe she's saying "we are filming my new big budget MV scene" . That pool is really really pretty

She also said in December in the Variety Awards to a fan that "the next album is even better" when told BB was amazing. We have no real confirmation that she actually said that (other than a tweet from the fan) but it sounds like something Lana would say

It makes sense there's no cover on BB cause she allegedly has a full album of those coming soon-ish (also maybe the fact that putting a song not written by her would take away a bit of the personal side of the album) but I've always loved how fitting they are on their respective records. I agree with you. WFWF is a masterpiece and it's my favorite BB song (and one of my fav Lana tracks overall) but I expected a different thing from a Mike track. Let's hope they collab again in the future

Not to downplay Rob's talent but I think we are overestimating his contributions to the album. He's probably just playing the piano in a couple of songs, it's not like he's the main LDR9 producer and we're only getting sad piano ballads about their family

I still don't see what feels rushed about Chemtrails and BB If she had material she loved for 2 albums why sit on it and wait? Chemtrails was supposed to come out late 2020 (1 year after NFR) and with BB coming in October of 2021 that would make another year (a pretty normal schedule for Lana). I'm sure LDR9 is going to sound the same if it comes our this year or in 2024

The fact that Jack and Lana were working on 3 distinct "albums" at the same time gives me hope about a switch in sound for their next work together. I don't think the "bombastic" songs remain unreleased cause they weren't good enough, they just didn't fit anywhere on the recent albums. I guess it's a Dealer situation, it fits the chaotic nature of BB but imagine if it ended up on Chemtrails between Yosemite and Dance Till We Die I also don't think we are getting a Jack-only album cause she probably started working on it just as BB was finished last summer so I expect at least some Drew songs (even though I hope for Rick and the alleged Emile x Mike Dean work)

Maybe it's just personal preference but if you take the 2 non Jack songs from NFR and Chemtrails you can tell how pretty and interesting they sound even while still being very simple in production. Bartender is only piano and Yosemite is only a guitar but they are miles ahead anything Jack did with those instruments on those albums sorry he has nothing on daddy Rick I said what I said

Maybe Laura (and probably Jack) are there cause they are reworking and mixing some of the bombastic 2018/19 songs They were only asking a question don't be so fucking rude

I feel like in BB she told us almost everything she wanted to say (or at least what she's allowed for now) so maybe the next record is going to be less "serious" and more casual? I mean every Lana album is extremely personal but maybe the next one is more carefree while still maintaining the autobiographical topics. She even herself said that BB was her only album that was made for the critics cause she had stuff to say so maybe we are entering a new Lana era now that she got that out of her system I'm very excited for the next thing cause when she announced Chemtrails and BB (RCS) with their respective fake dates she said some things about them (like the critics and revenge thing) but we know NOTHING at all about LDR9 (only that it exists and it's probably going to be out at some point this year)

I'd be fine with just 2 or 3 variants. Maybe 2 different colors for the standard cover and an UO alternative artwork with another colored vinyl. As long as she's signed to Interscope there's no way they let her digital only but maybe they won't care about chart peaks and release the vinyl later idk. For BB it was "only" 4 months as max between the record being finished and the vinyl shipping (they recorded SC in June) so I think they can plan the rollout and slowly put out stuff during the pressing period and get everything released together without it feeling like an eternity (but that would require Lana having the album done before teasing and releasing anything so... )

I feel like people overexaggerate the piano thing, she has always used it in her albums and it's not like Chemtrails and BB are just piano ballads, there's only a couple piano-only songs. I mean all we know is that Rob is doing some piano work but that doesn't meant the whole album is going to be acoustic we just need Dan Heath's beautiful strings to turn every ballad into a cinematic masterpiece (I miss him )

Is her FB still active? Maybe they will use that to promote her future projects (cause it's probably just run by her label or managers anyway). It would be weird to activate the account just to post about TAP right? They must be planning something or maybe they just forgot

I think she recorded and released a rock album under a different name and nobody realized it was her

Even if the album is still months away I'm sure Lana will release something as soon as she can. She always releases her favorite song from the record that is usually a ballad before even starting the album rollout (if there's one)
