So the whole album is coming in October that's so soon

Yesterday I was looking for the past collections changes and I don't remember seeing that golden L being there as the web icon so maybe it is indeed new . Someone with a better memory than me pls confirm

I'm still keeping my expectations low. If it's really a surprise release it makes no sense to have a preorder. Also is not a surprise release per se if she teased the album like 4 times already She said single out soonish and album out later later. Unless she wanted to mislead us with that post, it seems like they're doing a traditional rollout to me. Anyway I'm excited for Arcadia + tracklist reveal on the 8th

It has to be the single and the preorder. I refuse to believe that they'll let her release an album on a Wednesday Unless it's a really special date for her and the 8th thing was her idea, she wouldn't oppose pushing the date 2 days to have a normal Friday release like everyone else.

They took like 2 months to update her website to show the 3 singles so Idk if the store thing means anything... but I want to believe they are actually preparing everything for the BB release

Someone (that seems reliable) said in another forum that they were told that Blue Banisters is coming next week on the 8th. If it's true I bet they meant the single cause there's no way the whole album is out in less than a week .

Friendship ended with atrl now popjustice forum is my best friend Someone said in that thread that they are reliable and I'm stalking their profile to see if that's true (they seem to get songs early so there's that). I'm sure it's not the whole album but a wednesday seems a pretty normal date for Lana to release a single (also, it matches the few weeks thing boz said). Maybe they mistook the preorder with the album. Now we wait for the official announcement but I doubt there's one if it's that close. The other preorders came out of the blue right? Except Chemtrails that for some reason was announced a month before.

We know that the album is 100% coming this year so that leaves us with 4 possible months: - September is too early (unless she releases everything 2 weeks apart or something but I don't see them doing that, also I don't think the vinyl are ready) - October may be the month (maybe we'll get a 1 month preorder like she used to do). I can see a late october release. - November it's my best bet (the 5th or 12th bc Taylor) - December is out (unless it's the first week) cause no one usually releases close to the holidays (unless it's a Christmas album or a compilation) In the most realistic scenario that she releases BB on the 12th of November the rollout should be starting soon and we'll have 2 very packed months. Assuming she does the bare minimun promo (using Chemtrails here as reference) things should be coming pretty quickly one after another: We'll have new singles, MVs, the tracklist, photoshoots and interviews all coming in in quick succession. We'll be finally getting fed this fall

I hope this time we get post-album release MVs even if it's just homemade ones cause I sense we're only getting 1 or 2 max (one with the preorder and one on release week) She can just film herself doing random things with a vintage filter on (like in the HIAD MV) and I'd be happy

For me eras start when we have lead (or at least a MV) + preorder so I can't complain (yet). Chemtrails "era" felt worse to me even though I loved the album. Let's hope for news soon and some interviews to spice things up. I really want her to talk about the album, its sound, etc cause we had no word from her about it (other than that she wanted to tell her story so maybe that's all she's going to say and she'll let the music speak this time)

Yep that's what I was refering to. He also listened to The Other Woman (The original) so maybe she'll cover I Will Follow Him for BB

I wish she would at least announce the date of the single even if it's coming at the end of the month. Other than the Chemtrails title track she doesn't really announce singles beforehand anymore tho (LMLYLAW, WD, the 3 singles... either total surprises if you don't count insiders or just teased with no date) I still think it's coming in 1-2 weeks along with the preorder and the tracklist reveal but I need a date miss Lana

I don't like French Restaurant that much... I mean it's a good song but besides the verses the melody doesn't have that Lana essence that I love so I can't connect with it. Lyrics are pretty tho

I forgot about that song. It's so funny . It wouldn't match BB but it would make a nice pretty little interlude eventually

I'd like to think that we're actually getting an album trailer this time (BOZ said that the BB snippet she posted was just a part of that) but I don't know if they came through with it or just scrapped it (maybe they can just use the Lana-only scenes and get rid of Clay). The Arcadia teaser also looks more like a simple visual than a full on MV for the "lead" single. Imagine an album trailer with BB, Arcadia and the first chords and verse of Thunder

If ITTJ makes its way into the tracklist I wonder if she left there the American part (maybe as background vocals so it's not so obvious?)

Maybe they won't prepare lana.lnks.to early or send the songs to Shazam before its release this time cause they already know our ways. We managed to get the Arcadia title cause Youtube was an unexpected source

I've been thinking about Lana's musical direction and future regarding BB and what's next and I've gathered some thoughts. - On Lana's path and career: While we may think that she's going on this Joni-like route of being a folky singer/songwriter for the rest of her career I don't think it will be the case after all. Lana's thing is being unpredictable and jumping between genres (NFR and Chemtrails weren't that similar). BB will just be the final chapter of this Lana trilogy of more intimate and acoustic sounding records (that started way back in 2017 with the back half of LFL). In a span of just 3 years she's going to give us 3 records so it's normal that they share some similarities after all. Joni (and Joan) are big Lana inspirations but so are other legends in different genres like Amy Winehouse, Nina Simone, Lou Reed, Billie Holiday, Elvis, Nirvana... and many others. I'm sure she'll release a straight up jazz album at some point and a soft/alt rock album like what she recorded with TLSP. She still loves her bops, even her slowest album had TJF there (and it wasn't a single imposed by her label to make it more commercial or anything). - On the near future: She's working with Mike Dean for LDR9 and I don't think that she called him just to play the piano (there's a reason why WFWF ended up on BB instead of being reserved for the next album). The other writers credited on WFWF often work on R&B and Hip hop music too so... I don't know how LDR9 is going to sound but I'm sure it will be a big turn from 2019-2021 Lana. I think we'll find out sooner than we think cause she allegedly finished the record back in April and started recording new material right away and even though she changed BB's tracklist I don't think she wrote new music for it in that period, she just scrapped and added different outtakes. She had plenty of time to rework those new demos before turning in the final BB concept so it's not like she wasted a lot of time there. - Final thoughts All of this been said, I'm not complaining at all. I loved NFR and Chemtrails and it looks like I'm also going to love BB. If she keeps doing albums like that I'll be satisfied enough. I have to add that slower doesn't equal better (the opposite is true too) so I don't think she has to sacrifice quality just to make music livelier. I think BB will have a piano-heavy side (BB, WFWF, CB) and a rock-ish side (I mean we have Zach, he's a brilliant bassist and she can't waste that talent) with songs like Thunder and some of the outtakes (unless she turned them all into piano ). I'm so excited about BB and about what's next in line. The best thing about this all is that we'll have a new album in 2-3 months and (probably) news about the next one in less than a year. We really stan the best and most prolific girl out there

Poor Tracy Nelson is going to wake up with 2x the monthly listeners on Spotify and wonder what happened It's giving me Joni vibes (haven't listened to it yet tho) so maybe it's good.

I mean having a white border makes the title and name placement there very obvious. If it wasn't for the dog we wouldn't bat an eye but knowing Lana maybe she's a huge fan of her or something
