Maybe I'm just overdramatic but I don't like the title Leader of The New Regime, especially the regime part which has predominantly negative connotations, doesn't it? In my fantasy it could've been called The Prophet or something similar and it'd still fit with its spiritual and rather pessimistic tone. Someone we'd need to help us in a crisis which Ella has said will define our lifetime.

Yeah or maybe a short album format of 8-10 songs. With that said, what songs would y'all keep? I'd choose The Path, Solar Power (maybe), California, Fallen Fruit, Mood Ring, Oceanic Feeling, 2 bonuses and maybe 2 songs from the rest

The bonus songs are good that one insider needs to have their ears checked. In the end I think it's a 6/10 (+1 for my sentiment for PH and Melodrama)

Well I finished it aaaaand...I think I want to die. I genuinely like only The Path, Fallen Fruit, Mood Ring and Oceanic Feeling. I wouldn't call the rest bad but Solar Power and Secrets From A Girl are more lively but sound the same and the rest is just watered down and tiring to get through

Fallen Fruit is that BITCH I was so shook when that bridge came in. The first songs feel like The Path followed by a long interlude before Fallen Fruit.

I suddenly remembered when she first teased a new album it was supposed to be piano driven, wasn't it?

The history repeats itself yet again. She's serving her Marina "Lackluster+Filler" moment with a 4 year long hiatus followed by a meh album. See ya in 2023 with a better record. (I'll still wait for my first listen, though the reviews and your comments don't make me optimistic)

To be honest, some songs being non-melodic probably won't be a problem since I listen to Jenny Hval whose music often incorporates spoken word and avant garde. We'll see, The Path sounded great
