I hated them in the demo. I’m glad she stuck to the ethereal approach. Although I wish she kept the extra vocals from the Darkseid demo in the final version. A good balance of both Pan’s vocals and hers.

New Gods is a fucking masterpiece. The production, the lyrics and the way how it plays out the themes of the album. It’s cinematic and glorious af.

I heard rumors about a Miss Anthropocene II. Not sure if this new album is going to be connected to that concept but I hope we don’t get too many collabs. Grimes works the best when she’s working by herself but that’s just my opinion.

When she goes into her lower register

I really liked the slowed down effect she used on those tracks. I think it matched the album’s theme of being in a dream like state. But I really wish the songs were longer. I can’t wait for her next release.

I miss some her early trip hop influences. I want them back.

This album has the sound of soft served ice cream. I really wish it was longer but overall I’m not disappointed!
