After seeing BOZ say that the album does not work as stand alone singles, I kind of wish she had put up the pre-order in January without a lead single. Lana has a strong fanbase that would buy the album regardless. Plus the lead is really similar to her last couple of albums, so I doubt it convinced many non fans to pre-order it.

I think she posted a link to the song on her stories on release day. Not 100% sure though.

This era reminds me of BB so far but with better visuals. No music video, no tour news, and Lana just dropped the lead and disappeared again. Hopefully they start doing promo next month. If not, it’s going to be a very long 3 months.

This just made me realize that Rob doesn’t have writing credits on any of the songs. I guess he really was working on his own album.

Well BOZ confirmed the length of the album is true.

Judah was on a Justin Bieber song last year too(starts at 3:15). I’m expecting something like that for the interlude but hopefully it’s a lot shorter.

At this rate only Bleachers and the pastor are going to be proper collabs. Someone should ask him about Jon Batiste.

My biggest problem with this album is that songs were literally ripped of YouTube. It makes me think that this album was rushed. This album would have been fine if it had been released as a mixtape or shortened to an EP.

I was hoping she would release a West Coast/Video Games/MAC level lead single this time. I do think some people would appreciate this song more if she hadn’t released COCC/BB last year because it really isn’t a bad song.

Oh he said she wrote on top of it. So maybe other instruments were added. Hopefully the instrument credits are released soon.

Album songwriting credits are here. We still need the producer credits, but BOZ pretty much confirmed that the SYML track is piano only. Track 11 seems to have piano as well because RIOPY is a pianist. I’m pretty much expecting a more refined version of BB at this point.

Maybe it’s another SYML situation and she sings over one of her tracks? Idk

Saw some people say that she has had a new bf for a few months now. Only Lana really knows though.

These are meant to be her lead singles right? If tunnel doesn’t get a music video, will it get the LMLYLAW/3 BB singles treatment?

Pretty sure tunnel did a lot better because it only had 8 hours of tracking. WCE had a full day and did like 1.4 million.

Me too and now we have to wait until March for the rest of the album. This is one of the rare Lana songs that I am never going to revisit outside of the album.

Give it a few days to see if any opinions change. I feel like initial reactions are always like that. I actually really like the song, but I don’t think it’s that much better than some of the songs on Chemtrails or BB. It seems like there will be more variety on this album, though so I’m still looking forward to hearing the rest.

I saw someone say they canceled their preorder because of the mega church involvement. I feel like this could add unnecessary controversy to this album, but we’ll see once it’s out.
