That is pretty close to my ranking so I’m excited.

I think someone said this yesterday but Caroline wasn’t one of the artists mentioned under his original tweet so it can’t be her. He probably just really likes both albums.

Isn’t that tunnel song a BB outtake? Really hope it’s not on the album but knowing Lana it probably is.

BOZ didn’t like COTCC or BB but seems to like this one. Also don’t remember any reliable insider saying that COTCC was better than NFR before it was released. I could be wrong though.

Best new music is for albums and best new track is for songs. So they are talking about the whole album I think.

Didn’t she say in the W magazine interview that she was sending voice memos to Drew Erickson and he finished the song with orchestra? It sounds like a pretty similar process to what she did with BB. Releasing YTH would be a good idea though. It is doing well on TikTok and it seems to be a song that Lana likes a lot.

I really hope she does not release a LMLYLAW level song as the first track from the album. She had a lot of hype coming off of NFR, and I’m convinced that song/music video killed a lot of it. I’d rather wait longer if it means getting a stronger song.

Did anyone else see Lana’s comment on Neil’s latest post? What if they are just now about to start working on the visuals for the album?

I hope she picks a good lead single this time. I feel like COTCC and IYLDWM would have been a better choices for the past 2 albums. If she releases a piano ballad or a stripped down song as a lead single, I could see that killing some of the hype for LDR9.

Deuxmoi was right about Rihanna releasing music in October and Adele releasing the I Drink Wine music video. Some of the stuff they post ends up being right. Have they ever been right have Lana though? The only thing I remember is that Target story which ended up being fake.

I feel like her career is overall going pretty well. Especially for how little she promotes herself. Taylor Swift, who is probably the most famous artist right now, just released a song with her. She was also frequently within the top 5 most streamed female artists before releasing the Taylor collab. I’m sure QFTC hurt her image on places like Twitter, but the lack of promotion and sound is what ended up hurting the success of COCC and BB. Dealer going semi viral on TikTok and still doing well on streaming till this day is a pretty good sign that people can still be interested in her newer releases.

It would be cool to see her release another album that critics, a majority of fans/general public, and Lana herself all consider her best. I wouldn’t trust insiders when it comes to predicting the critical reception of an album though. I remember some insiders saying that Solar Power would be Lorde’s most acclaimed/best album, and it ended up being one of the worst reviewed albums of the year. BOZ seemingly loving this album despite hating her past 2 albums is what gives me hope for this.

Suddenly I’m very excited for the FJM feature.

FJM is one of my favorite artists, but I’m honestly not a fan of collabs on Lana’s albums. Her 3 most popular albums right now(BTD, Ultraviolence, and NFR) don’t have any features which proves that she doesn’t need any. Hoping that either the fan or FJM were trolling.

Kendrick Lamar just released a 10th anniversary vinyl of GKMC and Phoebe Bridgers released a 5th year anniversary vinyl for Stranger in the Alps. It’s really common for artists to do that now because of how popular vinyl has gotten. Ellie Goulding did something for the 10th anniversary of Halcyon, and she has the same mangers as Lana. I don‘t think the amount of time has anything to do with them not releasing one for BTD.

Are they actually an insider though? I know they knew about SOTB, but they posted like an hour before it leaked when it had started going around. It didn’t seem like they had it sooner than that like other insiders did.

Oh yeah I agree with that part. I don’t think Ben calling it a solo album really has any significance. He just words things weird sometimes.

I really like side a of this album. I find myself skipping through a lot of side b though. Question…? And Bejeweled are some of my least favorite songs that she has ever released. VS reminds me so much of you should see me in a crown by Billie, and I just don’t think she pulls off that sound very well. Overall I still think I like this more than Lover and reputation though.

Lana lies about releases a lot. The fact that she mentioned the country and covers albums probably means that they are never coming.
