  1. Exactly my thought right here. But since im neither white american nor black american i dont find my place or reason to dig into this 🙏😭 The girl is wrong because she can just treat the n-word like a curse word that u have to pass while sing an adult song at school or in front of your family, it wasnt her right to even say it. But on the other hand, why did Kendrick had to pick a white girl on stage to rap along with him - in a song has so many n-words. Or he can just pick a different song, different verse, or just choose a particular segment of the song that is "clean" to sing with her, not the whole thing. I still dont think her "reasonin" of saying "i was singing the song the way you wrote it" can justify her anything. But Kendrick isn't innocent here either, it looks like he set her up for real. I always love & look up to Kendrick but that incident changed my perspective about who he is a lot .
  2. this u said reminds me of an incident years ago when a white girl got invited on stage by Kendrick Lamar to sing with it. And she (might) said the n-word live on stage. This one still got me hella confused at so many levels.
  3. Okay because im obviously not American so i might not get to understand the culture and stuff. As thoughtful as the fact that i know myself understanding the importance of not saying/lip-syncing "the n-word" if you're not black, to this day i still dont understand why are poc artists still using "the word" in their music, whats the role of that word if it's nothing more than but a slur - or is that a way they celebrate their culture? And i understand that there are white people just try to be edgy & cool by saying the n-word (tiktokers for instance), and do all of that cultural appropriation shit. But is there any circumstance that a person who isnt poc, but not neccessarily white either - accidentally say/lipsync the word while jamming a songof their fav artist can be considered? Im not American so it would be nice if someone can tell me more about this...
  4. i dont feel like the room were clapping for Lana loud enough. She is the artist of the fucking decade.
  5. The way that 90% of people joining the livestream are going INSANE just to see Lana fucking Del Rey
  6. Not Azealia Banks coming for Lana's neck in my list 💀🙏
  7. Me, in the other hand, always listen to VBBOTG every now & then. Especially when i need a really peaceful good night sleep. Idk, there's so many precious thoughts & storytelling in that project and we get to see more of Lana that we've never seen elsewhere (even in her music) through Violet. I think its pretty underrated. I mean, she isnt the best poet out there but for me, the poetry is...how can i put it? really Inspiring i guess. Her words just spark motivation for life in my mind. I really love Sportcruiser, it's a beautiful & inspiring piece.
  8. Lust for Life could have been even better with its original witch, ancient spacey & futuristic vintage concept (but clearly she ditched that "witchy" part and toned it down a little bit for the sake of mainstream success). But either way, this era was so experimental & I just have to say it's one of the most memorable era. This was also the first time we see Lana stepping into the "daylight", showing real growth in her songwriting subject matters & her thoughts about love & life. I think for Blue Banisters, it ages so well for me because it somehow gives me the same experience that I had with Lust for Life back then.
