Im sorry but Chromatica was not it. She delivered bland songs as radio friendly bops imo (and thnk god it worked for her). The only songs I go back the most are rom, babylon and 911 just that. This album was a big disappointment for me as die hard stan bc she didnt push any boundaries and literally paid dust for this era. Even with Joanne she did a way better approach and innovation delivering a very interesting mix of country songs with pop/rock style. That all being said, Chromatica delivered her best aesthetic and photoshoot since BTW but unfortunatelly the songs werent on par with it. She played safe just like the majority of the other pop artists out there, i missed the real Gaga with this one. The one who wouldnt care about what anyone would say about her, that would just release whatever pop song she'd like wheter the public like it or not. Funny to see is that the gp really enjoyed this album more than some of the stans so she really could grab coins and stay relevant. Nowadays it seems she doesnt care about all of this anymore and just wants to go to tv series which is very nice and im looking forward to it. She doesnt need to prove anything to anyone anymore but, Gaga dear if u ever want to relese a pop record again in the same vein as Chromatica pls shelve it girl. Luv ya xoxo

I can't say what works under their business since its different with every artist but it could be that her label wouldn't allow her releasing leaked songs just to please fans and achieve 0..08 cents for each track/month. using Charli as an example, Atlantic let her release n1a without ANY support from it (and it ended up being quite a changing game for her) but she used new songs tho so its different. She was able to release 2 leaked singles from xcx world again with no support and it flopped as we knew it would. of course it would be nice for Mel to release leaked songs but how will her label deal with those songs? and the producers they need to pay? I can't say more things bc Idk much about this topic. let alone the fact Mel won't support old songs bc she's working on another project so she can't just stop it to promote old songs she's probably doesn't care that much (even though its personal) to gain coins

I really wish we could live in a world where XCX World was released after the leak and CB leaked outtakes being released in an ep form/bside 7 years later would work and be a success but we know deep down is just a waste of money for her and her label.... for stans like us of course its heaven but its just unrealistic

Such a shame. Shes so talented she could be a big name today had she released some songs/albums throughout all these years. I was listening to Downhill Lullaby yesterday and could not stop thinking how much we could get from her art with a nice and simple release schedule to feed her fans
