Blue Banisters - Pre-Release Thread: OUT October 22nd, 2021
turquoisejewel replied to Elle's topic in New Releases
Just finished watching the MV at work. Such a lovely project. I personally love the faded colors/filter. The way she's doing such mundane things and making it look glamourous and sad at the same time... the little clues and references to things mentioned in the song and other songs from the album throughout the video such as thunder/lightning/weathervane/tex/mex/a baby on the way/chuck making birthday cake/a picture of her on a John Deere (not on the wall tho ) the flowers, Chuck scared/nervous of having the baby blues (that awkward seconds of her puppy eyes at 2:35) and probably many more, makes this entire video so personal and like a gift to all of us who understand her. I liked it a lot and can't wait to get home and watch it again -
I don't know if it really was that much of a joke. It was malicious af, if you make a joke like that and then realize people start making more shit up to get on the hate wagon slandering Lana and making her look bad you come clean and say it was a fucking lie. You don't wait till Lana has to defend herself because people already like to trash her. Dumbass kids these days will do anything for attention

It makes me really sad that this shit kind of ruined BB week. Completely unnecessary. Lana seems to not be able to not care about shit people say about her and that's not good if you're a celebrity/public figure. I understand her so much because every little thing people have to say about me really gets to me, be it good or bad, but specially bad stuff affects me so much and I tend to not think before reacting. That's why I do therapy every week because being so sensitive is not always a good thing. I just hope this situation doesn't escalate more... Ed had already cleared things out. Poor Lana, people need to leave her alone

Same here. When she mentioned still being a child and not having the same choices as the rest, that brought tears to my eyes. Definitely wasn't expecting that, I liked it. The thing I didn't like is that the song had more potential and kind of fell flat when I thought it would pick up somewhere with more instruments.
