    it would have been cute back then, it sounds off and wrong now

    she barely has any lines, the production is extremely lazy with one drum loop and one melody

    lyrically makes zero sense on this retrospective personal stream of concsciousness album

    vocally it's nice but then the majority of the song is miles kane sounding like a frog on crack

    as the winner of worst taste x3 you'll love it!

    I guess Dealer was necessary to be included as a buffer in between these tracks you know? Judging by the leak and your description i don't think it was meant to do anything but address anger or whatever the song is about... can't wait to hear it on the album and ty for ur info as always :party:

    inspired by @Venice Peach here's my predictions of the unheard tracks

     

    - Black Bathing Suit: this is either a very dramatic yet sexy banger or very classy yet sexy ballad it's one of the two

     

    - If You Lie Down With Me: the title is referenced in Wildflower Wildfire and the fact that it's written with Barrie has me thinking... is this a UV outtake? (perhaps a reworked version of Your Girl) or something entirely new? :oic3: Whatever it ends up being this is the track i claimed and i know it won't disappoint 

     

    - Beautiful: Lana is very eccentric with her titles and i guess it all started when David Kahne made her retitle "The Ocean" to "Kill Kill" cuz it was deemed boring by him and she did so angrily. I know everyone is worried about the generic title but think of "Heroin" and "California", whatever this song is about i trust it's gonna blow us away. :godlaugh:

     

    - Violets For Roses: judging from the leaked lyrics this is gonna be a tough one - her calling roses basic though? this one's gonna hurt :icant:

     

     - Sweet Carolina: Judging from the writing credits and Rob's description of it i'm gonna guess this is gonna be a thematic continuation to Blue Banisters and it will hit even more harder knowing that Lana eventually found her peace within her family and friends and is now better than ever. She said by the end of the record we'll get to where she is today and i can't wait to find out - all of her closers are powerful so i cannot wait :party:

    This would be good buzz for the album for the general public as Doing Time has been. As for the people who've already heard it (with most of the released and leaked songs) it would avoiding giving away too many songs before the album. The new version would still be a nice treat while we wait for the full thing.

     

    the insiders had october 8 as a date i'm hoping it's a single date :flutter:

    "The song sure is more piano oriented at first, but then it grows with new string arrangement and and percussion. While I do miss guitar being the most prominent instrument on the track, the final version feels more complex and finished. It actually clears the issue I have with some of new Lana songs - Thunder has strong build up, the song is growing with new elements throughout, I love that. A highlight of the album."

    Living Legend is obviously rerecorded or something it's the most unmastered out of the tree u mentioned and I think an insider mentioned it's been given more life

     

    Nectar of the Gods I think is just remastered it's already perfect the way it is - same with Cherry Blossom I kinda hope the leaked version we have is on the album but I just know that a rerecording of Cherry Blossom would blow it right out of the water :party:

    I think Lana and Miles are singing through the voice of the same person, someone who is mad at their partner and has decided to cut them off. Miles is the voice of reason while Lana represents the anger of the breakup.

    In each verse Miles tells the ex not to attempt to contact them through people they're no longer in touch with like their dealer, father and doctor. In the chorus Lana is furious at the ex for being good for nothing and compares the ex to their dealer: they give them everything but get nothing in return.

    In the outro the partner tries to ring Lana/Miles but can't connect and gets this message:

    555-9874-555

    (idk this bit)

    All circuits are busy, goodbye

    All circuits are busy, you're high

    All circuits are busy, goodbye

    All circuits are busy, you're high

    In the end the partner has become another of the people Lana/Miles has lost contact with. It signifies the end of the relationship ('goodbye') and tells the partner that they're delirious ('you're high'). What do you guys think?

     

     

    love this interpretation i honestly can't wait to see the final version
