the reason i dont like that she barely wrote it is bc a huge draw to lana for me is how authentic she is. this particular song doesn’t feel very authentic to me. it’s not a big deal, i just probably wont listen to it much.

okay i’ve changed my mind n im not the biggest fan of the song. i dont care for the fact that lana barely wrote it, that the lyrics dont sound like her own, and that quavo sounds very out of place. it’s catchy and summery, i like the music video, but unfortunately that’s not enough for it to have replay value for me.

yeah but at least it was written about/for her and it wasn’t even gonna be released until barrie randomly decided to almost a decade later

well…. i like it less now knowing she barely wrote any of it. the lyrics didn’t scream lana to me so i guess i shouldn’t be surprised but im disappointed

yeah im having trouble with quavo’s voice. i dont think it flows well with the song during his verse specifically

i LOVED the music video. so simple, summery, and sexy. the song is amazing too. i havent listened to rap in awhile so Quavos part will need to grow on me but lana was heavenly

i hope you’re right. i have some hope considering there’s a vinyl on her site. but quavo has done most of the promo for this and the mv is premiering on his channel so it’s just confusing.

i dont think anything can top this… a true masterpiece that completely shifted my consciousness as a teen. i can barely listen to it anymore bc it holds so much past energy for me but its so close to my heart.

i honestly think that working with Quavo shifted her perspective on the album n she probably completely scrapped the concept of Lasso. i have a feeling we’re getting a LFL-esque album mid-late next year instead.
