Definition of Ballad: a poem or song narrating a story in short stanzas. just so y'all know ballads generally have nothing to do with production...you could say TIWMUG is a ballad. I honestly don't get the allergy Lana Stans have whenever they hear the word "ballad" or piano... she's been writing ballads her entire career, -
You always buy me roses like a creep Asking for forgiveness, unsexy What happened to the man you used to be? If you still want my love, then work for me vs. Maybe I’d get less stressed, if I was tested less like All of these debutantes Smiling for miles in pink dresses and high heels On white yachts

I feel like the extended drum outro of Chemtrails title track was low-key intended to be an interlude, it allowed Tulsa Jesus Freak to start playing and it flows nicely,The trio-BBS Is a more intense and apparent version of that which she may have been aiming for in COCC. I really like this whole instrumental interlude+bop track thing she's doing in her albums -

I like how nicely threaded together in this album is and the thematics of each song overlap with each other. Almost all of the songs we know have lyrics about fire or burning which is very fitting for her current state and her revenge. You can see the way WW is placed amongst the unreleased shows there is a storyline and a theme she is narrating. And I like how Dealer and Thunder come together with their chaos and then right after in WW she seems to address Dealer and all the craziness more calmly, with the opening line “Here’s the deal….” In this album she is definitely more defiant and disgruntled compared to NFR.
