  1. and thank the good lord it wasn't on fucking blue banisters
  2. let's not talk like fingertips isn't her lyrical magnum opus. and the hit songs line is quite clearly satirical, but whatever I guess
  3. i'm starting to think she should do something very eerie with rock and electronic merged together, maybe some rnb beats? like candy necklace with a guitar instead of piano + taco truck
  4. sweet finally clicked i won so hard judah smith interlude and margaret being the only duds in the album so true
  5. lana stans when they realize that motherhood is an important subject in the life of a 30yo woman
  6. wait but what if she used the roses bloom for you melody in sweet and now life's a dream... sweeeeeeeet... barefeeeeeet... if you want someone then just call me up and remember where i'll bee in the sweeeeet north country
  7. 1. Norman Fucking Rockwell! 2. Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd 3. Honeymoon 4. Ultraviolence 5. Born To Die 6. Chemtrails Over The Country Club 7. Lust For Life 8. Paradise 9. Blue Banisters
  8. i hope she makes more unique sample choices, all of the ocean blvd ones payed off
  9. i mean she can still do the vinyl thing, just start the pre-release without any singles and promote it differently, maybe with an album trailer or something
  10. honestly next era she should do the pre-release without any singles so we could lose our minds when it's released
  11. judging by her "where do we go from here ending" comment, i think she's going to reinvent history à la tarantino in once upon a time in Hollywood with sharon tate, which is much more tasteful
  12. that's so weird cause they're part of my favorite track run of the album lol! for me they really pick up the pace of the album after the culmination of her trauma (fingertips), it's the beginning of her understanding herself and feeling unapologetic about it. the melodies are beautiful and she definitely made the samples much better, atleast for me
  13. i mean i do like it, i just think it doesn't fit in the album's narrative (and it also could be improved with a more cohesive melody and structure and more disney-esque violins, i actually think it's less structured then fingertips believe it or not)
  14. also i've grown to like sweet but i don't really think it makes sense on the album... it starts in the beginning of the tunnel as she's discovering her darkest fears, and it ends with her processing these problems and feeling carefree. i don't this sweet matches any of these parts
  15. i'm re-listening to the album and i though i would skip judah's interlude but i actually didn't. the instrumental is IMPECCABLE, those guitar riffs omgg, she really could've made a song out of it and it would've been amazing, it made total sense for this dark section of the album
  16. it's actually not a deal at all, she's just saying her boyfriend caught covid so so did she, literally just that
