  1. My ex just texted me he got into a Vogue internship which interview I got for him when we were dating. We had a little bonding moment between the two of us, which was heartbreaking for me because even though I know we’re both madly in love with each other, we want different things… or maybe we’re in different timings. It’s like we used to be in the same wave for a period in time but now the sea has driven us apart and we’re at different points in the ocean; still able to feel our connection permeating between us but not close enough for an embrace. He misses me and he told me that. I said I couldn’t possibly express what I feel through words (spoken or written) but a song perhaps could. So I sent him Thunder. He saw my reply but hasn’t answered yet. I can almost feel him spinning the song on an endless loop, drinking all the emotion off of it. As I’m doing right now as well - both connected through four and a half minutes of a bittersweet journey. Sorry for the random post but I feel like I wanted to share this with my LB family. My heart aches but there’s something about Thunder, in the midst of all the nostalgia and resignation that keeps me going. I can’t wait to be able to listen to it in our queen’s new album. What a time to be alive. Just do it… just do it, don’t wait.
  2. I have a feeling she’s not gonna come back from this decision in the same capacity as we’re used to see her. For someone who’s aching for privacy and reclusiveness as she seems to be, being away from the social media apparatus will do wonders for her and I don’t see her wanting to give that feeling away and going back to the overexposure of the recent years. If she does come back, I hope she tries the Frank Ocean method: comments limited only to the people she follows, random photos that she feels like sharing, no particular concerns about music promotion. That way she’ll be able to be in touch with her fans without sacrificing her freedom and privacy. All in all I wish her the best. It feels like the end of an era of some sorts but if it helps her emotionally speaking, that’s all that matters ultimately. I miss the days when she would post a lot less - it felt like she had a healthier relationship with the media and the public. It will be interesting to see where this leads her in the future… hopefully to a brighter, happier place.
  3. So I didn’t truly connect to Arcadia as a whole when it was released but I kept listening to it because I was just roaming through the released BB singles… a few minutes ago I was heavy on my intrusive thoughts and missing my ex while feeling uncertain of what’s ahead of me professionally and emotionally speaking and once she sang “but you’ll need a miracle” I just started to BAWL. And it just hit me all at once. What a powerful moment of beauty in her discography. Such a specific feeling that she managed to express in a very epic, operatic way. A genius.
  4. That person got things right... like the sonority of Arcadia and the placement of certain songs in the tracklist. I have no reason not to believe them.
  5. Hmm maybe she realized the persona she created is the source of the burden she's been carrying. It would make sense for this album to be a severe deconstruction of Lana the persona, as Elizabeth the person takes her place. A fully realized human being.
  6. @lustforlife would you say BBS is the Cherry/TJF/Cinnamon Girl of the album? I promise this is my last damn question!
  7. We know so very little about the middle section... The fact that even insiders are refusing to be too explicit about what they share on that part of album is very telling. We might be in for a treat
  8. Sorry to be bothering you with questions yet again @lustforlife... I'm sure you're getting a lot of these and I apologize in advance to add even more pressure to the mix. But I just can't stop thinking about Black Bathing Suit. What can you tell us about it? I'll settle for anything you might wanna share! And btw thank you so much for the info you've been spilling. Something about the way you word it makes it feel more intimate and tender.
  9. For me I think Wildflower Wildfire is one of her best ever and on par with the ones you mentioned.
  10. Isn't it amazing when someone puts actual effort into an era? It makes a lot of difference. It's clear that she's not willing to play the industry game by any means anymore and it's admirable she's sticking to that attitude (as opposed to someone like Lorde who sings about hating California and wanting to be in the wilderness and yet she's in every talk show, doing magazine covers, doing a week-run of performances for James fucking Corden, etc - maybe to compensate the lack of quality of her latest output?). However, she changed the profile pictures of every social media account, put out a music video with an actual concept, did an amazing photoshoot with Neil to complement the album aesthetically speakinh and further expand the universe of Blue Banisters... like, this is the Lana we fell in love with: someone who's passionate about her work and shares it with the world with confidence and attention to detail. Makes me wonder what went wrong with Chemtrails for her. It's clear she wanted to release it earlier but maybe the delays due to the pandemic made her lose sight of her vision halfway through... hence the lack of promotion and the apparent lack of interest as well.
  11. Also, I’d love for BoZ to address what’s up with Black Bathing Suit.
  12. I’m too attached to the Thunder we know. It’s gonna take a long while for me to adapt.
  13. Arcadia is my least favorite song out of the three singles + Dealer + Thunder but to call it not particularly interesting production wise is… strange to say the least. The last time we were offered this richness in orchestration was back in Lust For Life.
  14. Who said that? I think the only thing we know about Thunder is that this version probably has a piano intro.
  15. To think we started this era completely in the dark, with the picsart selfies as the only aesthetic reference for an album which direction we had no idea of... To this moment, with a clear and exciting vision mirrored not only by the several album covers to the already released songs... I love Chemtrails but this era puts that one to shame.
  16. It was co-written by Zach Dawes so he probably co-produced it as well and judging by the looks of everything he's touched (California, Thunder, Dealer, etc) I think it's gonna be a rock infused moment.
  17. Remember when @lustforlife said Black Bathing Suit is (and I quote) "an invite"?
