  1. So rich in instrumentals, goddamn. Jerkonoff can't relate.
  2. This pretty much confirms Black Bathing Suit is going to be an alt rock bop. Omg.
  3. My best friend is a moderate fan of Lana (not hardcore like I am - but her favorite Lana album is Honeymoon!) and even she said Lana's in a completely different level than anyone working in the music industry right now. Watch the girlies adopt the rock-ish sonority in a couple years.
  4. I confess I'm a little worried on whether the Interlude fits the general mood of the album. Having that fire ass trap beat in the midst of emotional ballads and soft rock songs might throw some people off. I need to know how Black Bathing Suit sounds like... like what even can follow that?
  5. I can't believe she did a trap interlude right after that. WHAT THE FUCK.
  6. lustforlife said there are more rock inspired moments on the album... which songs do we think are gonna fit that mold? I'm claiming Beautiful!
  7. I'm counting the minutes. In the meantime, Dealer's ou heavy rotation. This era's Cherry/TJF!
  8. HAHAHAHAHAHA. I wonder if they’re still together or not. I’d say no which means he’s an attention seeker through and through. I’m gonna take a guess and say The Trio is dedicated to the relationship between her, Chuck and Charlie. They grew up together through all the mess and the emotional abuse and forged a bond that is so clearly important to her. That’s why it was placed in the beginning of the album!
  9. @lustforlife are there any more rock songs like Dealer and Thunder?
  10. I’m in shock. You guys. What an era. I’m so happy to be sharing this with you all.
  11. Fuck. The alt covers. The tracklist. She’s coming for AOTY. What a time to be a Lana stan omg. I’d say there’s not much to rework in Living Legend and Thunder has simple lyricism by her standards but it’s its stark simplicity that is so astounding. Nectar of The Gods however needs a massive rework imo.
  12. So everything lustforlife said was trolling? And everybody knew this but me? I wouldn’t know how cruel the world was…
  13. Not Lana making a grunge-y album. I’m not ok. She did good going away from Jack for this one. It’s crystal clear she didn’t want the music for this project to be controlled/muted.
  14. Fuck. Jesus. Thank you for that reply. AOTY confirmed.
  15. Apologies for bombarding you with questions (but I have to say it’s my first one!). If you had to choose two songs from her past discography that best summarize/encapsulate the sonority of this album, which ones would you choose?
  16. But is it all piano? I’m sorry but I missed the memo on that one.
  17. I wouldn’t change a thing about Thunder, actually. It’s absolute perfection. I remember reading something about the introduction of piano at the beginning of this reworked version… did I imagine that?
  18. The Dealer instrumental makes me so hopeful for the sound of this album. What if it progresses from
  19. OMG WILD ON YOU?! She’s so unhinged omg. I love this woman. Ive been one of Chemtrails’ most ardent defenders (I absolutely adore that album and it was the perfect soundtrack to a relationship that has now ended but that will be forever tied to Tulsa, Not All Who Wander, etc) but the more I know about this album the more I see it as the definite NFR successor? It’s crazy because I cherish Chemtrails so much but thematically I see it as an extension of NFR’s themes and the rite of passage to the next chapter of Lana’s artistry: more violent, more direct, more abrasive. This is gonna destroy all the alt girls. I can almost feel Taylor frenetically going through the lyrics of the album to find inspiration for her next album Red Curtains
  20. You guyssssssss THIS SNIPPET. I’m screaming. What a collective collapse.
  21. Wow. She’s gonna get dragged for the return to the Americana thing.
  22. Wait I’m lost. Where did those last lyrics come from?
