  1. manifesting changing this thread's name to blue banisters hype thread baddies only
  2. LANA HELP we are talking about how all songs in existence are piano ballads and even worse, talking about sales
  3. the way this thread just devolved and imploded so hard when we were trying to keep the spirit alive w gif wars courtesy of @COCC and @Surf Noir and positive manifestations dare i say that i am still hyped for bb
  4. lana, my favourite contemporary artist, is a flop?!?!?!?! fuck :'(

    West Coast vs Thunder
  6. i feel the same way. it's so interesting that throughout all the attacks on her so-called "persona", i find lana to be so genuine and authentic in her artistic process
  7. understood - we all just want glam baddie music. but i cannot forgive: "menopausal geriatric ass bitches Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez" anyway, let's just all listen to heavy hitter
  8. i was peace love happiness n gratitude and i think it provoked some ppl
  9. re: the "piano ballads". if u don't like lana's "ballads" u probably have fundamentally misunderstood her. she started her career w "ballads" and yes! i'd rather have multiple versions with multiple story lines (hence why i'm totally okay w reworked stuff like tnbar)
  10. dude lol ur on lanaboards. a lana fan forum. so idk why u are saying this about lana's artistry on a literal forum made to idolise her music tempted to beat ur ass up tbh

  12. i'm really excited again about bb lol - the fact that we are getting ANOTHER album?! who cares what date it's out, we are v lucky bbys regardless! i am feeling gratitudeeeeeeee bc everyday's a good day when lana's still making music. and while we wait, I hope ur all taking care of yourselves
  13. manifesting lana giving us some wild n sexy BB musssiiiccccc that helps me romanticise my life so i can get thru it i'm talking music w big emotional swells n surges, i'm talking gut-wrenching vocals like white dress, noir, blue baby love, i'm talking bridges/outros that explode w everything she meant in the previous verses, like pretty when you cry and on that note, thunder needs a bridge that absolutely raaageeeeeessssss - like imagine if suddenly the surprise is that she's talking to herself throughout, and she just goes off
  14. Taylor Swift - I feel like the music just isn't *substantial* enough and the lyricism is kinda... juvenile and a bit too methodical. Same goes for Olivia Rodrigo (and her perspective just isn't there yet - makes it v hard to relate to and empathise w her music)
  15. ur use of that gif is so appropriate given ur boring outdated heteronormativity lmao
  16. well this was a pointless exercise by word tips - anyone can open up a thesaurus Edit: fuck this got my knickers in a twist lol i wanna add that bob dylan, the supposed greatest lyricist of all time, is found to only have middle range vocab according to this. sometimes it works (if u know ur shit) but oftentimes, adding some big weirdo word in songs will detract if it doesn't make sense or, more importantly, doesn't help to clarify or express the thought any better. in those cases, it's not indicative of a large vocabulary. it just means u don't know what the best word to use is. patti smith is justified tho, her writing is beautiful and v articulate
  17. i haven't read this thread, but how was it established that it's partly abt sean? does sean actually own a thunderbird lol i was just listening to baby blue love (bc i'm seeking out noir vibes rn ) and the chorus is: I'm on fire but what can I do? I'm singin' in the choir but I'm lookin' at you I'll be outside, pick me up after school In your Thunderbird, baby blue Thunderbird, baby blue, baby blue, oh If baby blue love is about that teacher she had in high school who apparently had a thunderbird, it leads me to think Text Book is partially about him too
