  1. i think yes but we are not conscious of it. but it like doesn't rly matter bc it is the belief that humans have free will that is important, that allows humans to express autonomy, take responsibility, and be held accountable. do you believe in luck?

    Song vs. Song

Off To The Races vs Butterflies Pt 2
  3. i don't see lana doing something like that (a la olivia rodrigo's sour/sweet theories); i think for lana, she understands emotions to be more complex and that's why we often have songs from her that are so multifaceted, where feelings of love and dread and anger run into each other constantly, and i actually prefer her albums like that bc it's more true to the *human experience* (lol)
  4. bb aka the btd uv hybrid tru tho. that is now our anthem
  5. this thread is already 1328 pages long lol are people supposed to be able to navigate it? i think it works better as a reflection of the *current* state of the era, a discussion of what is *currently* happening with BB etc. (which is... not much other than whatever feelings of anticipation is left amongst us) and i think there should be room for people to have a personality on here - which is what makes it hugely popular in the first place - unlike atrl where everyones strikes me as kind of unfeeling n flat lol
  6. oh this frances drama was way back in like 2014! i was just wondering how their dynamic is now given that courtney and lana have become friends. when lana said she wanted to be dead, frances criticised her on twitter for glamorising early deaths (like her father's) and i feel like frances' criticism rly helped solidify the accusations against lana in the public arena that she was glamorising many serious issues like suicide, addiction, abusive relationships, etc. and that her persona and attitude was... curated
  7. thinking about an album w her 25 favourite unreleased songs and the question is: would the album need to be coherent + cohesive? like would it be like a traditional album where songs are intentionally ordered and there is a thematic through-line? or would it just simply be a collection of songs without a necessary obvious cohesiveness
  8. totally agreed with this. in the pre-release context, allowing for a bit of lightheartedness makes a lot of sense especially when imo it directly relates to the reality, and reflects the mood, of this era and its... dryness. i love serious analysis of anything lana, but there simply just isn't much else to do at the moment but help keep the hype for BB up. there are threads in lana thoughts like lanalysis and post-releases for serious dissection but imo what is a pre-release thread at its core if not excitement for an upcoming release?
  9. is there a thread for the unreleased favourites album? i want to make a tracklist
  10. what is there to discuss seriously and concentratively atm
  11. f*ntano is currently interviewing jack antonoff on twitch... who's gonna take one for the team and listen to see if there's a crumb of lana info
  12. and yes, the heavy moderation doesn't allow for nuance a lot of posts that get moved serve the very important purpose of hyping up this upcoming album - unless it's literally spam from a troll, i feel like it shouldn't be moved imo
