I noticed that too, always too much nudity and unnecessary violence. Of course, one could explain it with the fact that the Middle Ages were also very cruel, but then that was sometimes too close to reality for me. I still like the first seasons best, but towards the end it was a bit too much straining after effect. Still, the acting was very good and it's perhaps the only reason I would watch the seasons again.
