I'm a little late but I think that Jack's post just meant that the studio was "hell." It seems like Lana's been working really hard to finish the album, and is probably tired of the studio, I don't think it represents any sort of musical direction.

Lucky Ones is my all-time favorite but atm I love Diet Mountain Dew, that song just feels so sparkly. National Anthem and OTTR were some of the first Lana songs I listened to & I love them, but I've overplayed them wayyy too much.

Considering Lana is 100% surprise dropping the album on sept 1st, I don't think we need to worry about any competition

I wonder if Lana will have any involvement in "The Idol." I know she's friends with the Weeknd and probably knows Sam Levinson since her music was in Euphoria, it's unlikely but I think it would be really cool if she had any sort of involvement.
