A friend of mine was a fan of mountain dew, so i already knew about it before Lana sang about it.. I don't drink it often, sometimes when i have to study and need cafeïne and don't feel like drinking coffee or red bull. But Pepsi hell yes. I drink Pepsi max a lot (a diet version like coca cola zero, don't know if it's available in more countries).. But maybe too much haha.

Omg i just found out that the West Coast radio mix isn't the official audio video on Lana's youtube page.. My whole life is a lie >< -
At the moment.. • Diet Mountain Dew • Cola. although it was Gods & Monsters for me first.. But if i can count Burning Desire as well, it would probably be that track! For me it's a track that grows more and more on you instead of becoming boring. • Flipside.. Lyrics and guitar sound are epic, but Pretty When You Cry was first my favourite.. Old Money can become my new favorite as well, liking that track more and more..

That makes sense to me. I remember when those songs were leaked, that people wrote on the internet that they were supposed to be on Lana's new album.. But releasing an album when most songs of it were early leaked doesn't seems like a good idea.. So maybe the old UV was suppose to be the album with those leaked songs, but then it might had a different name and concept?

Is it me or is it weird that there are many demos to be found on the internet of the album Born to Die, but almost nothing from Paradise and UV?

How Lana would look like if she wasn't a star by Justin Jones

No just no. She looks like she joined the politics.. -
Dutch media are saying now that she cancelled everything in Europe and maybe Texas as well..

So i checked her album and yes it's not bad, but i'm not excited either. Guess i need to give it more tries to be more excited. Highlights for me are still Team and Tenniscourt. Ribs is the only one besides Royals that i didn't like at all.
-
:defeated: Well didn't she suffer from depression? You have better days with some forms of depressions so that might explain the thing with her boyfriend.. and the depression why she cancels.. But still i think it is more a lost for her than for the radiostation. This wont do her good, not for her carrier and not for her image.

Digital or vinyl one of SOC? I have only listened to the digital one, but i don't have the problem.. Well Born to Die is more polished, sometimes maybe too polished.. I think the raw songs on Ultraviolence or however you want to call it creats a special effect. It reminds me more of the 60s and the classy style she puts out with some songs. -
Hmm not sure yet what i think about it. From which era is this song?
-
No Anyway i hear in Cola always 'take a ray ban air' instead of 'decorate my neck'
-
Hmm you've got a point, but since Royals is Lorde's big song i was thinking that her other songs will be in line of that.. But i might check her album then
-
Smarty, boarding school, Summer of Sam and Money Power Glory were the songs for me that have grown on me. Also Burning Desire.. First i found her breathing annoying in the song, but now i love the song. I didn't have a problem with Sirens. Just that it sounded like an other artist instead of Lana. Her voice here is so different.

yes i'm interested -
I'm confused when it comes to her music. I really don't like royals, but i do like team and tenniscourt. Is her album worth a try when you don't like royals?
-
Oh i can totally relate to that! I often have when i'm alone at home i feel lonely, but when i'm with a friend i would like to be on my own Also the independence now and at a younger age. The feeling of feeling empty, alone and that the world doesn't seem to care sometimes. With those days i love the line ' the road is long, we carry on, try to have fun in the meantime'. Hoping it will all be better But drug use and a lot of alcohol i'm not related with. Also the thing of loving older men. Maybe that's because i'm only 22 year old. And i can't sing like her, actually i can't sing at all. xd

I just love the direction she went to with this album musically. The 'rockier' sound suits her better imo with the style she has as person and music. i think there is a lot of protential for her if she continues with the rockier elements. Ultraviolence is for me a great album, but it does mis great standouts. For me the album Born to Die has more standouts with songs like Born to Die and Dark Paradise, but also more songs that i find average. The songs million dollar man (allthough i like the demo version) and lolita are songs for me that i would skip. The album Ultraviolence is more stable, it doesn't really have highlights for me, but also no bad songs. I have to say that i had first some complications with the song Money Power Glory, i just couldn't get into it, but now i like it. To pick a favourite of the album is also hard for me. I think it would be West Coast, but i also like Fmwuttt, Sad Girl, pwyc and Flipside i think a little more than the other songs. Which is maybe crazy, because i have read a lot that sad girl and pwyc were often the least favourite for people. I have to agree with the opinion that the lyrics could have been better. There is not really a song where i can relate to apart from some lines of flipside. Well i can make a story of that song that is about my life as well. Born to die and even Kill Kill had that much more. Also a shame with the promotion. But overall i like the 'new' style she put out with this album. Hopefully she continues with this style, because i think she can do much more with it.
