It looks like something I could make in 2 minutes using Microsoft Word lmaoooo why the big white border why the generic font why the ugly-ass shadow why the tragic photo
  2. FUCK THIS IS CLEANSING MY SOUL
  3. I don't like the vocal delivery of the verses in Freak, especially lines like 'if TIME stood STILL I'd take this MO-ment make it LAST forever' where she stresses these random syllables which completely breaks the flow of the melody. I'm also not a fan of her obnoxious moaning (ughehugheighugheugheugh... ) during the later choruses which has been mixed to be far too loud to be anything other than jarring. The overall production could be better: the whole song literally is smothered in indistinguishable sounds that just tire the listener out because all I can hear is that it's noisy. I don't like Rick's cheap-ass bargain basement trap beats, which is probably why I consider HBTB, Freak and Art Deco the weakest on the album.

Am I the only one who prefers the album version of Realiti?
  5. lana needs do an 'art angels' and do tasteful electropop for LDR5. Not Kieron's weird-ass cheap trap beats of HBTB, but like trance-y synths and guitar and stuff kinda like REALiTi. I think as long as she pulls it off intelligently, it could be a hit plus the reviews could be really really good since music journalists seem to respect her a lot more and Lana's already shown that she's a credible artist and not doing it just for the money because of Honeysnooze - I think the press may get tired of supporting her if she releases yet another slow album - a change of style would be good.
  6. @@brooklynbaby91 I would guess that she refused to participate, just like her BBC Maida Vale live performance which she refused to have filmed.
  7. The French version of Paradise has killed me. Oh my.
  8. the blackest day is so overrated lmao (I mean it is a good song but some of you treat it like the second coming of Jesus Christ)
  9. tbh I would be OK with lana disappearing for like 3 years if she were to come back with a smash hit magnum opus and a revamped sound (I'd really like a poppier and slightly more electronic album next time lmao)
  10. Pitchfork released their 50 Best Albums list and Honeymoon isn't on it.

Am I really basic for not being able to really enjoy Visons/Halfaxa/Geidi Primes? Art Angels is hands down my favourite album of the year.

  17. inb4 half the interview is the interviewer talking about how 'filmic' her music is and talking about 'Big Eyes' and the Bond film
  18. Lana Del Rey has admitted she was interested in recording the theme to James Bond film Spectre, saying there are songs on her latest album which would have worked for the spy thriller. Sam Smith's 'Writing's On The Wall' was picked for the theme to this year's film, which once again starred Daniel Craig in the title role. Prior to the announcement of Smith's involvement, many fans felt Del Rey's drama-filled ballads would have been the perfect fit for the franchise. Speaking to NME as part of this week's cover story in the free magazine, Del Rey agrees. "I would’ve done it if I was asked but I wasn’t asked,: she says. "I love all of the Bond music that’s been put out over the years and I love soundtracks in general. There are a couple of songs on this record that have a Bond feel like ‘24’ and ‘Swan Song’." Elsewhere in the interview, Del Rey talks about her experience of touring with Courtney Love. The pair played a series of gigs together in the summer as part of the Endless Summer tour. "Touring with Courtney was great, we have some things in common that might not be visible from the outside," she says. "I think the most important thing I learned was that some people just have it when it comes to performing. She’s totally entrancing, a born performer."
