i wish she expanded more on the pop/hip-hop sound of LFL (NOT the BTD sound, songs like summer bummer and groupie love are what i want to hear) onto another album.

My main point is calling her unprofessional isn't wrong and people shouldn't try to deny it, i don't honestly care about it that much and have come to expect it. but for people who it really upsets i see why it would be. and i'm never gonna feel bad for her about people criticizing her unprofessionalism or lack of promo because she is making millions either way

I’ve said it before and I’m gonna say it time and time again until all the ass kissers get it through their heads. I am not going to feel bad for a millionaire not wanting to do their job. And it’s not even about the fucking “promo”. Interviews and magazines and stuff like that is super fun and totally adds to the era!!! However, my main issue with Lana is her constant delays,canceling, and straight up lies (Sure she had issues with vinyl production but there was absolutely no reason for her to randomly spill release dates that really did not exist). “Lana doesn’t owe us anything” sure, she doesn’t. However, as a public figure, she’s gonna get flack for it because it’s super unprofessional. Lana doesn’t have to have this job! She could work a 9-5 as her main job and put out music for fun. But, if she worked a 9-5 she would actually need to meet deadlines. I feel like trying to make people feel bad for a multi-millionaire who pretty much gets to do whatever she wants with her career when she clearly disappoints the fans that pay her bills, just because she’s had flack from the media ( a lot of things her own fault tbh) is very crazy swiftie behavior lol. Your fave can be wrong!

i'm only responding in here because your post is in here, but most people weren't arguing like people are just discussing and i agree it probably shouldn't have been in this thread but i'm tired of this attitude that having discussions about topics that maybe not everyone finds interesting or maybe can get a little heated is wrong or something. if you don't like the topics that is being discussed just talk about something else or log off again i do agree that discussion should have been held elsewhere

wouldn't say she really cares about sales but she most definitely cares about critical acclaim and gp opinion of her. Someone who actually didn't care wouldn't rage respond to a random article about her album on her instagram story saying how much she "doesn't" care about their opinion.

to be fair, the meltdowns over a&w were more about ben and ed's dramatics over us finding out the release date, cause that is weird as hell lol. also, what i mean is that the only people who even give one fuck about her doing promo are her fans. not doing promo isn't the big "fuck you" to the media that the user i responded to and presumably Lana herself think it is. Pitchfork and The Guardian don't really care if her album is being delayed or not, they are going to review it when it comes out either way. however, her fans who are excited to hear the album would like to know that the album is being delayed, which she made very unclear. She also seems to think responding and "dragging" the media response to her is doing anything, when actually it gives the media exactly what they want lol.

Ben and Ed actually have the lowest IQs you could possibly imagine. Fans find about a single release and you think the correct thing to do is just not release it? Are they mentally disabled? Genuinely don’t understand the thought process. There is a reason Dua dropped these two. They “loveeeee” Lana but the minute their tiny dicks get in a twist they decide it’s a good idea to ruin her career. They hate Lana fans because we know how shitty they are to Lana and do the promotion FOR THEM, but Lana doesn’t care because they don’t make her promote. The issue with the Ocean Blvd delay might actually be their worst moment ever. How do you let Lana just not make it clear there is a delay? They expect Lana fans to get news out to everyone and then when we actually do they are pissed and then delay/ cancel without saying a goddamn word. I have never been of a fan of an artist with this many leaks, delays, and hiccups during an album release. In conclusion Ben and Ed are an actual JOKE of managers and I’m convinced they started managing as some sort of money laundering scheme
