Works for me, but I have to go through a VPN to hit it. Can't upload anything though, but I can search things.

I mean, I did want the return of extended and club mixes, and we are getting them, except it feels hallow when the "normal/radio edit" is 2 minutes and the "extended" is 3-4. My party ass is over here looking for 3:53 radio edits and 6:15 extended edits with dance breaks, a double long bridge, a super long intro AND outro to take you on a little roller coaster....

And that's not the version that I want. Whatever that was played on 360_brat - That. I want that. I will take hostages if I have too. I hate Benny I'll kidnap and dangle him over an acid vat like a Batman villain I have NO CHILL Idgaf. (I post this with the full awareness I'm being an entitled shitgibbon)

That's what's been missing from my life. @111's rants were transcendental. Truly inspiring me to be a better hater.

...there's still album cover discourse going on? Maybe it's because I woke up spicy today but jfc the topic is more stale than that one box of cereal in the back of my grandmother's cabinet. Also supes disappointed that Spring Breakers isn't the "?????" track, apparently? Guess she is going to become the new Taxi/Bounce.

deprecating is giving me some early linking park vibes.

I wish to be excluded from the narrative.

I would have liked *1* more track in addition to Y,A that was uptempo dancey. Just one though, because without any others, it REALLLY makes Y,A stand out so, so hard.

A correct opinion. Why yes, let's talk about it.

I came online as a secret Arianator (I have to hide it all from my friends and family; they will abandon me and I will be disinherited from millions) really only in the last couple of years, so it's exciting to like, actually be paying attention to the rollout and the drama and the gossip in real time.

okay that's so beautiful. the gay gasps at the start are sending me tho they were fully ready to go hard and then they realized lmfao

I was gonna say - I've heard of producers and folks in certain areas of A/V using older versions of software because of plugin compatibility, or they are "stuck" on a particular version of software due to it being a really reliable and "stable" version, and if they'd upgrade there's risk of bugs or known compatibility issues with their hardware or other tools/plugins. Sometimes the stuff they are using is air-gapped and not connected to anything online for security reasons, so things are outdated, or some folks just don't want to shell out the money for new software or new licenses, or they used a friend's home studio that wasn't entirely up to date, etc. etc. Plenty of reasons. The version definitely sets a line in the sand that says "this totally wasn't exported/created BEFORE this minimum date". I think the version of the software taken with an export date is really the key. That being said, I also wouldn't put it past people to fuck around. People upload shit all over the internet and re-encode it to lower quality, tag the fucking hell out of it, etc. etc. I wouldn't put it past people to edit metadata to fuck around with people either. Idk. Someone with more knowledge and insight feel free to correct me.

Lauryn Hill realness. Dropped an album and then followed up with everything but more music.
-
Just curious - is that *always* a guarantee though? Couldn't some people and producers be using old versions (I know I myself am using a 5 year old copy of Ableton)? Is there an export date hidden in the metadata that might be more reliable?
-
mmmmmm......will be using. hardcore.

Correct. And if we really wanna dig and get referential, there's plenty of songs I can scrape up from the 90s and 2000's where it's really just 1 lyric, 1 chorus, maybe a little ad-lib vocal moment during a dance break, repeat 2x, end. Quite a few of those songs in the 2-minute range as well. Yeah. I *would* like there to be some fully fleshed out "Charli" material on the album, but if she's sticking to her inspiration, it's gonna be short and repetitive, which I'm fine with. It's just a mindset thing, which really shouldn't be anything new for us. We have emotional Charli, and we have throwaway pop-trash Charli. We're just used to having both on the same record, and this time it may not be the case.

Mmmm extended mixes making me happy

Now wouldn't that be a fucking moment.
