AHAHAHAH I FUKKEN KNEW IT. When I saw the cover I said to myself "F@gs are gonna lose it because it's going to look ugly as fuck on their walls" and I was RIGHT. (I myself would like something more majestic as album art, HOWEVER, I've got plenty of albums with lackluster covers that make it up on my displays from time to time, so I'm truly unbothered) Except the bland minimalism actually does have some vision. She's been on some vibe about "UK Rave bangers techno party rager club" shit, and if you've ever actually gone into a lot of those genres and sub-genres behind it (house, rave, dnb, breakbeat, techno, hardstyle, etc.), those albums and covers - there's shit that's been released that's vinyl only, sometimes it's literally just a blank white label slipcase with a sticker on it. Pulling from my own knowledge/experience - my ex is a DJ and he plays, exclusively, these genres, and specifically a lot of ones that originated and came out of the UK rave and music scene. He also exclusively only spins vinyl when he's performing at clubs, and his collection is filled with plain black records, in simple solid slipcases and covers, with next to no other details on them aside from random stickers or sharpie marks and that's it. That's just how that whole movement rolls. The minimalism of the cover does actually pay a lil homage to the genres and vibe she's been talking about pulling from, so while it's boring as shit, it DOES fit the bill, as much as everyone is yucking the yum.

Wait...are we all collectively upset about the vinyl cover being what it is because it means we can't have some sexy and dramatic Charliboobs on our vinyl wall display shelves?

I wonder if there will be some alt covers/variants made? Although historically that doesn't seem to be how Charli does it. Also can we all just bully Ava Max? No particular reason to do so, just feels right.

I was; I just force closed and reopened and it popped up. I s2g the 360 account has been the glitchiest thing. There's been times I've gone to check it and it shows no posts and says I don't follow it/have no access, and then I'll close and reopen and suddenly everything is there.

Yeah that's not there for me lmao. It's just a single photo, no swiping. Force closed the stupid IG app and refreshed and now it's there. Wig.

Her website just shows the cover and the picture disc for me, nothing about the inside. Even the 360 brat IG just has the green cover.

Oh you mistake me, I love Von Dutch. Frustrated with the rollout and disappointed that the snippets and teases are apparently the bulk of the song? Sure, but I still love it. Even some of Charli's "worst" songs I still have respect for. To address the rest of your comment, first, articulating an opinion and explaining a point of view isn't "going off", especially when I'm not directly @'ing anyone, or being combative or aggressive in my tone when I wrote it. Second, it's an open forum on the internet; everyone and anyone can contribute what they want and how. Third, congratulations on getting to work with Charli in some capacity (seriously, time out, that is awesome), but in my opinion, I don't think that adds or subtracts anything to any points of view or opinions. And lastly, I don't go to Panera. (CAVA is where it's at for me. )

Talking about this right now in a different venue with select Top Minds™ - Angels seem to have gotten REALLY entitled lately, even in the context of stan culture as a whole. Like first, there's become an expectation that if it's not on an official album or EP, either Charli's or some collab with someone else, it's "Oh, well that's okay. Someone'll leak it anyway." Like take a beat right there and think about that. This is material that someone has decided that they don't want to release, finished or unfinished. And someone sees that and goes "I plan for and expect it to be made available to me anyway." Part of that does come with the fact that for the history of Charli's career, it's been an endless stream of leaked music. But that should be viewed as, in the best light, a "bonus" for deeper fans who know where to look and how to get it. When really, the very act of leaking, and listening to leaks, if the artist hasn't leaked the content themselves, is basically "someone has mad amount of disrespect for an artist, taking things from them that weren't intended for the public, and putting them out there anyways. I expect this to happen, and expect to enjoy this music and content anyway." Then there's the history of demanding her to play shit or release shit that just plain isn't happening. Screaming "Play Taxi!" at concerts, demanding shit be released in comments on Twitter or IG. Thirsting for new music one second and then when it's announced it's coming, turning around and being mad we don't have a full album, visuals, tracklist, 3 singles, and deluxe announcement within the next 48 hours. Like come on. We're all aware of how the music industry works, we all know how we're in the age of Spotify and Tiktok algorithms - business is played by the rules as they're found, but everyone wants to act brand new all the time about it and pin it on the artist when it's much more hands in the cookie jar here. The other thing about stan culture as a whole, is this weird ass shit where a song could be an 8/10, but the fans act like those last two missing points are the largest fucking flop in the history of Floptopia, in the country of Floppistan, on the continent of Floppington, on planet Floppottica. They expect 11/10, every single time, which is just not going to happen. They also expect a song to be able to chart in 10 different genres' charts, and go number 1 every time. Oh and they expect a 16 track deluxe. Oh and they expect to purchase and own exclusive merchandise, but also that merchandise can't be allowed to sell out before *they* get it, but it also can't be widely available either because then it, and them, are not special for having it. Oh and they expect huge headlining tours. Oh but those tours better not be expensive, or sell out. Oh and they expect cheap meet and greets, and an artist be able to spend 10 minutes personally talking to each and every fan at said meet and greet, but it also not last longer than an hour, at said 80,000 packed out headlining concert tour. It's a little exhausting. Edit: And also people getting so dismissive when an opinion isn't shared by them. Everyone enjoys things and approaches things from different angles and perspectives, and with different valuations. Music speaks to different parts of people's lives and experiences......except for when the opinion isn't shared. Then it's trash and couldn't possibly have any merit and OP should check into a mental institution for brain rot. And if one person fucking bitches about this post being long, this is your reminder to clock in for your shift at Panera because I know you ain't making salary with such a weak brain.

Internet culture nowadays can't handle when discourse is longer than three sentences. Minds start to crack.

ITAS and I'm Gonna Get You Back are perfect as is; I'm Gonna Get You Back ranks REAAAALLLY high in my personal list of top songs as well. They don't need to be changed imho. My worry on those is that ITALS would be "roughed up" and IGGYB would be "softened"; Florrie's style has changed a LOT since she started. Her newer/later music has very much become softer, warmer, mellow. Her early stuff was a little grittier, a little more electro pop, a little more psychedelic in places. ITALS feels lighter and fluffier than what she's put out recently, and IGGYB has an edge an energy that she hasn't shown in awhile. IDK. She can re-record if she likes, but I may not be listening....

God girl I wish, I'd be so fucking skinny. Sadly stimulants make me feel like my throat is closed up and someone's choking the life out of me (in an unsexy way), so my bad takes and wild thoughts are sadly, all natural.

She's a mess with releases because she's just kind of.....there. I love her to pieces and she's precious and baby and all, but like....I've never seen her demonstrate any sense of urgency or drive.

There's people in this thread with connections. The feedback will get there. I'm not one of them. But I know there's folks who have them and they come here.
