It’s totally fine not to like or be amazed by Lana’s new music. Some of you are very immature and it really shows. Lana IS our favorite artist and art is subjective. Lots of us aren’t crazy about this new direction she’s taking. Don’t expect people to love each and every Lana song just because we’re fans and don’t let others’ opinions affect your relationship to the music…

I loved COCC a lot actually while other people were trashing it, and defend it to this day. But if you get COCC-vibes 3x in a row it takes away the magic.

I still don’t like this song. It’s so unseasoned. Lana served us some plain chicken with just salt and pepper, no spice at all. If the whole album’s gonna be like this she can keep it!

One thing i’ve learned… there’s always gonna be people hyping things up and convincing others of how amazing something is even though anyone with good taste can sense it’s a turd. I guess having that superiority complex fills in holes in the ego from childhood trauma or some sh*t.

Compared to Ctrl, this new album sounds really cheap. She should have stuck with the Shirt and Good days sound/vibe. I’m honestly disappointed, like it’s very forgettable

If the album’s gonna be anything like NFR or a more mature NFR, we WON NFR had a pretty good variety too, but was pretty cohesive. Everyone can find a few songs they really love and other songs they don’t really use. That’s how i interpret the comment BOZO made regarding LDR9 having variety, but not in the sense of LFL which wasn’t really cohesive (regardless it was great)

They’re checking to see if they will get classic Lana not this whitewashed Lana. Only her og and hardcore stans are here for a whole project, the GP just wants one or two bombastic songs they can vibe to (Dealer, Cherry, etc) and not fall asleep to.

If the drums in the outro hit harder (like WFWF) i would have not been so catty towards Ms. Ocean Boulevard But she just kinda falls flat, tho it’s still a lovely song. I know Jack isn’t the only producer but i’m sure it’s him brainwashing and whitewashing Lana into thinking it’s phenomenal.

Ironically enough, just what you described. With each era and album since AKA up to NFR she has been able to reinvent herself and create unique soundscapes and imagery. Everything since COCC has pretty much had the same vibe/tone and i’m just ready to see her doing something different, that’s that Lana essence. mind you Lana herself admitted she was in a blockage writing this record and people had to push her to actually go to the studio, as she stated in W Magazine this year

Anyways stream AKA her most unique and vibey album to date. Maybe Lana needs to step out of LA city limits once in a while.

I fear she has lost it (her Lana essence) but we can’t say it definitely until we hear more… stay strong

I’m sure the album will be great but yeah this song is a turd, if we didn’t get to hear this type of song before in different formats since the COCC era, I’d like it but you can only twist and spin the same shit a certain amount of times, until it becomes boring and redundant. Jack rly is sabotaging the most unique artist of this century by producing all this generic sounding music… i’ll let American Whore be my final judgement but this killed my hype a bit.
