I’m sure the album will be great but yeah this song is a turd, if we didn’t get to hear this type of song before in different formats since the COCC era, I’d like it but you can only twist and spin the same shit a certain amount of times, until it becomes boring and redundant. Jack rly is sabotaging the most unique artist of this century by producing all this generic sounding music… i’ll let American Whore be my final judgement but this killed my hype a bit. Why do i not see a lot of people on here being critical of the new single… I really expected something more/different the way those insiders were hyping it up. It’s rly giving “i’ve heard this before” to me. Same tempo, structure, build up, etc as we can find on LMLYLAW, IYLDWM, BBS… Why is Lana limiting herself to her comfort zone

To be honest i’m a bit disappointed. Yes she served with the visuals but Ocean Blvd sounds very Blue Banisters-ed. The second half of the song at least has some interesting instrumental and voice layering. But overall i’m not using her too much. I wanted something completely different than what we’ve heard from NFR. I’m sure there’s gonna be better songs on the album.
