  1. I'd say she has a good chance for Best Alternative Music Performance and Best Alternative Music Album. Furthermore, there's actually a possibility of winning SOTY since that is based on songwriting not on success. Last year country artist Bonnie Raitt won even tho almost nobody knew her song, and she won over All Too Well 10 Minute Version. So I think A&W could win on a critical level over What Was I Made For or Anti-Hero. AOTY is most likely going to SZA, Best Pop/Duo performance is a toss up between most of the nominees tbh. But I definitely think it's unrealistic for Lana to take home zero Grammys, especially since she's nominated for some alternative categories.
  2. idgaf about the genre as long as the production is on point. country can be melancholy, dreamy, soulful…or it can be breaking up slowly. so as long as the producer tries to make the tracks unique instead of generic or bland, a full country album could be amazing.
  3. y’all wtf i had a dream about this snippet, it sounded the exact same except the background was really upbeat. there was acoustic guitar strumming & other instruments, and it was all loud like either country pop or folk pop in general. it sounded so real, during the dream i thought that this was the 2nd chorus of the song basically and the snippet was only the beginning of the song before it built up to this. my dreams tend to be psychic
  4. lana please interact with rick he misses you girl
  5. on the road to 5 million likes within a day lana is HUGE right now omg, like ariana grande has 380M followers but got less likes on her album announcement from two days ago
  6. i had the same thought but tbh i’m used to lana being tone deaf at this point, she’s definitely not an activist of any sorts
  7. it also reminds me of 1949…”you like my blue nail polish / what is all this / you said of the mess upstairs / don’t be scared” or is it just me
  8. THIS PART??? OH MY GOD YOU BETTER FUCKING SERVEEE im not even being biased when i say this is the best skims campaign like…it’s usually bland and boring but this is NEXT LEVEL
  9. the melody sounds amazing and her voice is beautiful. but um…hopefully this is just the first verse and it builds up to guitar strumming like in unidentified flying bill or earthquakes
  10. my #1 goal this year is to see lana at coachella like please i’ve never seen lana and never been to coachella even though i’ve been wanting to do both for years now, this feels like perfect timing.

  15. unpopular opinion but i loved this! i'm a dancer and you best believe i got up and danced to this, even learned parts of the chorus's choreography it's such a fun but also chill song; reminds me of no tears left to cry except with less belting. only thing i didn't like was her alien baby voice in the bridge. i think people's reception could stem from it not being a typical bop unlike 7 rings, thank u next, positions, etc. those songs were made to be smash hits, while i don't see this one having the same success since it's not really "punchy". i think vogue definitely has more pizazz to it and it would've been better is ari whispered less. that being said i'm sure her next single will be more of an agreeable bop, her and max martin know to create those but ariana might've wanted to go for a different vibe with this song; just very 'i don't give a fuck about critics, peace and love xx'. also ariana will always have ballads and vocally powerful songs on her albums so this song isn't a representation of the entire album necessarily.
  16. brooklyn baby has phenomenal production, they made the vocals sound so dreamy especially in the bridge. beautiful instrumental as well, it perfectly incapsulated the song. music to watch boys to’s instrumental is heavenly, the little details they added created an exotic island atmosphere.
  17. unstan lana then bc this isn’t happening
  18. david lynch vs robert eggers
  19. “say that shit with your chest” is most likely a line from ‘yes, and?’ !! i’m excited for this song because it seems sassy and bold. so curious about how it’ll sound, i hope ari will come thru with a solid hit
  20. i’m here for this tbh! the moodboard is cute. country doesn’t have to mean breaking up slowly pt 2, lana could do better than that. she could go for a 50s-70s themed dreamy americana sound, kinda like fleetwood mac or nancy sinatra. she could also continue with the darkness of ocean blvd and make something similar to raise me up. i see the vision. it would be as if the 2nd half of lust for life & aka lizzy grant had a baby
  21. most likely it’s referring to her sobriety, since she mentioned starting in 2004. she referenced being 14 years sober again in violet, which was published in 2018; 6 years later she’s officially 20 years sober edit: i just logged on and replied to you lol i didn’t see the comments above me saying the same thing, my bad !
  22. yesss because “Let it crash over me like the waves in the sea / Call me Aphrodite / As they bow down to me / Sunbather, moon chaser, queen of empathy / I give myself two seconds to breathe / And go back to being a serene queen” are some of her most beautiful lyrics, and i think that’s her first time referencing greek mythology in her music. she also referenced icarus in her latest interview so maybe we will get some more greek mythology in ldr10 there’s so much potential to explore more figures like sirens, nymphs, persephone, artemis, medusa, etc. it doesn’t have to outright drop names but it can just make references to their symbols such as pomegranates like you said. persephone’s story kinda reminds me of themes in lana’s old songs…her being kidnapped, hades being a “bad boy” of sorts, plus the dichotomy of her being a goddess of spring and death is reminiscent of lana. she is known for exploring dark themes including death in her work, but her style and personality leans towards being feminine and floral. i would also KILL for lana making a siren-inspired song, maybe something with similar imagery to the line “waist deep in icy waves” or something haunting like ‘jump’ (“do you wanna jump?” reminds me of how sirens lead men to jump to their death from ships).
