idk about drugs but she was definitely drunk as fuck. usually she remembers social etiquette, but that night she snatched the grammy out of celine’s hands without thanking her or making eye contact which was pretty disrespectful and a stark contrast to how miley honored mariah. and of course, right afterwards tree makes sure to upload a picture of celine and taylor backstage to put a bandaid on everything. plus there’s a video of taylor asking julien if she can put a grammy on her head, while julien was crying/being emotional and none of boygenius were having it 😭 awkward so yeah all in all i think taylor was a bit chaotic that night and didn’t mean harm to anyone, but she was prob really excited and impulsive. with lana, i doubt taylor saw lana’s hesitation as a genuine firm “no i don’t want to go up there” but rather just her being shy, and taylor being the extrovert felt the need to take matters into her own hands in an abrasive manner. however lana clearly isn’t traumatized by the incident unlike what a lot of fans were acting like, so it’s not that big of a deal.

not sure if this is an unpopular opinion, but i am SO excited for a simple album like lasso. chemtrails was the perfect peaceful album, and i think this one might be similar. after how heavy ocean blvd was i actually don’t want anything grand or groundbreaking. my only hope is that the guitar will be loud and clear throughout the album, and that we’ll get some unexpected ‘fun’ songs like we always do on her albums; i smell 1-2 songs with trap in them lol. i really hope this will come out september! the fact that she said that month specifically, maybe means they’re wrapping up the album this month and vinyls will be pressed until the release date. lana always changes shit last minute tho however because this has been worked on for the past 4 years, things should be more decisive this time.

Yep, that category was BY FAR the worst snub. With the other categories it’s like…ok this person is more popular, this person is a grammy darling, etc. But a random Paramore song taking best alt music performance over A&W? Really? That was straight up disrespectful. I remember too, it was like 2:30 pm for me when those categories were being announced: I was SO excited because I was so sure she was winning. This sounds dumb but I had been looking forward to this day since it was announced that she had been nominated for alt categories; I’m pretty sure most of us were like ‘of course she’s gonna win, this is a no-brainer.’ Not only does it devour the other nominees in terms of creativity, genre-bending, and lyricism, A&W was also critically acclaimed. Same applies to Ocean Blvd. Lana isn’t a random indie artist, her sales and streams are great. So all around it looked good and realistic. When she got snubbed for all her pre-show categories…yeah it was over then. If I was a celebrity I would’ve pulled a Kanye moment, got up on stage and said “Yo Billie, I’m really happy for you, I’ll let you finish but Lana had one of the best songs of all time! One of the best songs of all time!” *mic drop*
