1989 as a whole is pop perfection, the deluxe is completely skipless. and yeah bad blood/shake it off aren’t the best but to me they’re better than a lot of the songs on midnights shake it off in particular always reminds me of the early 2010s, such a fun time.

come on lasso, join the legendary virgos honeymoon and norman if you’re released any later you’ll join the flop libra blue banisters

OHHH thank you, i was confused because i saw it on a pinterest description and even after searching i couldn’t find any lana song with those lyrics “singing blue notes up all night long” is a very pretty line, she should use it in a song
-
what song is this? “you’re a runaway a light at the end of the tunnel a breath of fire on a bed of roses singing blue notes up all night long”

tbh i think if she was she definitely would have said so…she had no problem talking about her trailer life, alcohol addiction, and growing up not well-off so i think she would’ve also talked about stripping. i think she’s probably done these things privately and not as sex work, for example dancing for her man or something lmao. she did romanticize stripping or being a gogo dancer as lizzy grant bc that was part of her persona, a reckless party girl who needs to make ends meet.

most artists take 3+ years to release albums lana is EXTREMELY prolific like no one else. the only other artist i can think of putting out this much music is taylor.

oh it’s available to listen to on spotify/youtube but i’m subscribed to lana and ‘blue skies’ didn’t show up on my timeline unlike country roads, and it’s not promoted on spotify as in it’s not on any of her playlists like “this is lana del rey”. i think she def cared more about country roads than blue skies lmao

on imgbb, hold down on the picture if ur using a mobile or right click if ur using a computer, and click “copy”. then go on the lanaboards text box and click “insert image from url”, and copy and paste the link.

lana needs to make a completely jazzy/theatrical album…we had a few touches of jazz on honeymoon but nothing major. we need an album full of buddy’s rendezvous, blue skies, summertime gershwin, the bridge of dance til we die, and the scatting from brooklyn baby. also when she sings in a theatrical way like in big spender or the “don’t say you don’t want no harm…” part in ben. hopefully jazzlana is coming in ldr12 after lasso and the trap album are released

What would you consider to be Lana's best-written songs?
cherrytropico replied to That Venice Bitch's topic in Lana Thoughts
out with a bang, more mountains, pawn shop blues, fine china, off to the races, bel air, old money, honeymoon, religion, heroin, get free, mariners apartment complex, hope is a dangerous thing, kintsugi, fingertips, and ocean blvd. get free is legendary to me -
i’m so sorry if this was posted before but i was scrolling through instagram and rick nowels liked this post last month my dude is obsessed with lana

ooo this instrumental is interesting, i don’t think she has a song to compare it to. if i had to say, it sounds similar to paris texas’s piano but like…not piano and more jazzy. it’s minimal yet upbeat. also idk if it’s just me but it reminds me of dark circus/carnival music kinda like the songs on this playlist

somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond - e.e. cummings ───── ♡ ───── somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond any experience, your eyes have their silence: in your most frail gesture are things which enclose me, or which i cannot touch because they are too near your slightest look easily will unclose me though i have closed myself as fingers, you open always petal by petal myself as Spring opens (touching skilfully, mysteriously)her first rose or if your wish be to close me,i and my life will shut very beautifully, suddenly, as when the heart of this flower imagines the snow carefully everywhere descending; nothing which we are to perceive in this world equals the power of your intense fragility:whose texture compels me with the colour of its countries, rendering death and forever with each breathing (i do not know what it is about you that closes and opens;only something in me understands the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses) nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands
