oh for sure, they’re always just random indie artists. in reality if you like lana you’ll also like all the artists she’s inspired by like leonard cohen, mazzy star, billie holiday, nina simone, nancy sinatra, lou reed, etc. just listen to 50s-90s rock, blues, jazz, & folk

BB Thunder is better than the demo. I love how it starts out quiet then builds up to the instrumental in the second verse, that’s just heavenly. Meanwhile the demo’s instrumental is stagnant.

louis tomlinson. i’m sorry but i just can’t stand his singing voice at all, especially in ballads. all of his songs sound a lil too generic even on his new album. like you can be inspired by indie rock and still add a unique twist to it. i’m officially done trying to enjoy his music because it just ain’t happening

you know how taylor said she’s inspired by lana? can someone give me examples of taylor songs inspired by lana 😭 i just see no similarities in their music. (ok there are some similarities like they both write a lot about america, taylor mostly nyc and lana mostly california, and they write about cars and shit, but taylor has such a different songwriting style from lana, not to mention singing style and a pop structure)

She does have interesting piano songs like Old Money, HIAB, Terrence Loves You. It’d be great to hear more of that instead of songs like LMLYLAW, Beautiful, Blue Banisters, Arcadia, etc which put me to sleep 😴 I also just have a bias for guitar. If she wants to do minimal production/quiet songs, songs like Nectar Of The Gods, Pawn Shop Blues, For K Part 2 demo, Yayo (AKA), etc sound so much more interesting than piano ballads.
