I was on Instagram a few minutes ago and saw like two clips from, I'm assuming, a recent interview and Melanie talked about how she loves planning things far in advance and she has her next four albums planned out (she hasn't written anything for them yet) and in another clip Melanie said that she is working on a documentary for Portals I guess that'll show how she made the album. The Instagram is melaniedailyfact. Edit: the full podcast episode is on Spotify. The name of the podcast is Spout.

@love you madlyI just made the thread the other day. Here's the link
-
I think I read this in an article a few months before Elita released their album. I wonder what the film was about.
-
Welcome to the Elita thread. I found out there wasn't a thread, so I made one.
-
Someone please leak the full song.
-
This gave me chills. I love her voice.
-
Saw this on YouTube and thought I'd share the link. Edit: I've been wondering why I couldn't find the video. Now I know it's bc it's been removed.
-
Has anything leaked recently? I'm hoping for more After School outtakes.

Here's the songs I think would be perfect for an EP Synchronicities - The lyrics describe a journey of personal growth and introspection, with Melanie searching for signs and meaning in life. The chorus expresses a desire for connection and understanding, with her asking for someone to hold them, show them they are aligned, and tell them what they are missing. The outro suggests a sense of acceptance and awareness of the interconnectedness of things, such as recognizing synchronicities and a feeling that everything is right where they are meant to be. Fingers Crossed - This song is about having feelings for someone who is unavailable. The lyrics express the narrator's longing, possibly Cry Baby, and the struggle to keep their emotions hidden. The chorus reflects on the temptation to take risks and the uncertainty of their relationship. The theme explores the complexities of unrequited love and the idea that timing plays a significant role in matters of the heart. Garden - The lyrics describe one's efforts to cultivate and nurture the relationship, while their partner seems to be less invested and eventually abandons the relationship. The song shows that the partner's lack of patience, commitment, and willingness to work on the relationship is what ultimately led to its failure. Needle & Thread - The song seems to be about a complicated relationship that has ended, but the speaker is finding it difficult to let go and move on. They feel torn between wanting to cut ties and sever the connection, and yet they are also drawn back to the familiar and comforting aspects of the relationship. Death (Demo) - I know this song is about the pain of losing someone but I think it could also be about the "death" of a relationship. I also think with the line 'Next time, I'll listen' this would be the perfect closing track. * Dragon's Blood could be a single. I didn't include it in this list because it wouldn't fit the concept but I think it would be a great stand-alone single because I do love the song.

According to Apple Music, GUTS has 12 tracks. 'vampire' is listed as track 3. Tracks 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, and 11 are listed as explicit.

Olivia's new album is titled 'Guts' and it comes out September 8th!!
-
new single 'vampire' out next Friday, June 30th. I can't wait!! When fans ordered some merch they were also sent letters too and so far the letters are: L, U, P, I, S, G, L. These letters might have something to do with the album's title. There was also a shirt with 'bloodsucker' on it which could be a lyric in 'vampire' or it could be the next single or the album's title. What do y'all think? A lot of people have said that the album is going to be called 'Lunar Eclipse' but I don't think that could be it because someone got the letter G. I also read somewhere that the album could have 16 tracks and 5 or 6 of them are collabs but idk bc it's just a rumor as that hasn't been confirmed.

I was on reddit and found this link to some unreleased songs and demos and thought I'd share it with y'all https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/q0kcy9h1kyl5m15x6mcj8/h?dl=0&rlkey=wc8bw1hzpsjpwyppyf8rpzmbk I think the first song 'Alice' was recorded around 2010-2012 (I thought of the album Curdled Milk for some reason while listening to it).

VOID MV is being released on Tuesday (6.13.23).

I agree. Melanie plans on putting out some of the music videos this year and the rest next year so she won't be putting out all of them this year. However, I think that she should focus on the tour for however long it lasts and then wait until after to work on the movie (hoping there won't be too many legs of the tour bc if she's still on the tour by next summer, she probably won't be able to work on the movie until 2025). But yeah idk. She's definitely trying to do too many things at the same time. I feel like the movie will be much better this time around though I hope (at least it won't be a musical like K-12). I really want the movie bc I need to know how the album fits in with Crybaby's story.

I saw a clip from a recent interview on Instagram (I think from yesterday) where Melanie said that Atlantic is only providing the funding for the music videos and another company is providing the funding for the movie. The interview should hopefully be up on YouTube soon but idk. Melanie also said that she might have to find time in between shows to film the movie. She's already written the script but she's waiting to be able to have people to work with on the movie.

Sadly, I don't because Nicole hasn't talked about it on her social media accounts since around the time MIMA (the album) was released. I'm hoping it'll be soon. I know Nicole is performing tomorrow May 13th in Toronto, Canada so it'll most likely be sometime after the performance. It's probably not coming until this Summer.
-
It seems like this character is becoming her whole personality. And also that caption is so cringe.

https://youtu.be/Utwbuv76RbI here's the performance from the Roadburn Festival of Gold Satin Dreamer that someone posted earlier today. Just thought I'd share. Here's the performance of Nymphs Finding the Head of Orpheus https://youtu.be/39asBGn-gqk

Same. I wish it was released but it probably won't be.

This is what I've been thinking since the album came out. It's obviously about things that happened to Melanie so idk how it fits into Crybaby's story. I hope the movie will help us understand the story but it won't be coming out until 2024-2025 (I'm thinking 2024 maybe, but idk). So I guess we'll have to wait until then.
-
I agree. It feels like the album is more about Melanie herself rather than Crybaby. I can't see how this fits into Crybaby's story. Maybe with the film it'll make more sense but idk.

I think she'll probably release a couple standalone singles. Also I'm not sure about an EP (I was kinda hoping the deluxe would be like a 6 song EP attached to PORTALS). Kind of like how After School EP with 7 songs was attached to K-12. I was kinda disappointed at first with the deluxe only being 3 tracks but now I LOVE all 3 songs. PLUTO is my favorite and so is MILK OF THE SIREN. I didn't really like POWDER but it's growing on me. I still don't like that voice effect on POWDER though.
-
I was just saying that bc I've already heard it so it's not my favorite deluxe track. PLUTO is.
