Back in the late 00’s/early 2010’s when an album used to do well the music label wanted to milk the sucess of the album so instead of letting the artist release a new project they would often create an extened edition of the album. We can see this with Gaga’s The Fame/The Fame Monster, Katy’s Teenage Dream/Teenage Dream: TCC, Kesha’s Animal/Cannibal, and also Lana’s BTD/Paradise. For example both The Fame Monster and Paradise are the ying to the yang of the previous albums before them, and the themes are the opposite. It’s only fair to call such albums as their own body of work, and not an extension like Teenage Dream: TCC which is more like a deluxe.

People often ignore it when mentioning her discography as if it’s not its own thing. That’s discrediting it imo.

It was also sold as a stand alone album aswell. I feel like you guys don’t really understand the difference between LPs and EPs. These are terms used back in the day for the total playtime of a vinyl. An EP would use a smaller vinyl so it could only fit a few songs, like 4-5. An LP could fit more bc it was bigger. They’re both different forms of albums. An album or a record is a work of art, so why would you discredit Paradise as Lana’s work of art by saying it’s anything less than BTD or any other album? And technically Paradise as a stand alone already counts as an LP bc it exceeds the typical playtime and total tracks of an EP.

Why do people continue to claim that AKA is her debut when Lana personally has only ever called BTD her debut? She has refrenced BTD as her debut album countless of times. Just look at the racer jacket. Not ONCE has she given AKA that acknowledgment, why would she??

There’s nothing wrong with having a partner with different political beliefs, and no one is saying she can’t be with him just bc he is a Republican. However… Being with someone who thinks transgender people should be beaten to death is… well call it what you want but you can’t call her an ally. Maybe it’s easy to not “get it” if you aren’t part of the community, but being trans myself I do feel hurt and I do wish she would give us some kind of confirmation that she still is the loving Lana we always knew of, but unfortunately I do think she has changed.
