  1. omg my bf got both for me when i only asked for the standard one he is so sweet <<333 ill get them when he comes to visit in 3 weeks
  2. that is just Lana's music is her life- if someone wants feminist theory, why don't they head to the library? it's like me flipping on the sopranos & then being mad i'm not met with like anti-gun messaging or something. gtfoh
  3. i stg at the end of Sweet i still hear "in the woods somewhere n a knife in my/the heart in the valley in the sweet north country, if i'm not there come to my house on Genesee" im probably wrong but idc this is the lyric *for me* cuz i just like it sm to wrap up the song- her basically saying despite all the pain/betrayal(the knife in her heart) she's faced in life, even from the person she is singing to, she has managed to remain sweet/gentle at heart so much so that if they ever came to find her, she would welcome them back in like nothing ever happened
  4. I'm sweeeeeeeeeeeeet, bare feeeeeeeeet 💕✨💖💞✨💕💖✨
  5. would b iconic if miss Lanita released CN music video along w the Pink Moon next week- "meta black dahlia with a where do we go from here ending" // "reflect on where you are & where you want to go" but also im desperate so if it comes sometime this week thats wonderful <3

  9. OMG BESTIE look at us , u & me, back at it again <<<333
  10. both of these are spot on imo! i don't see why people are already getting up in arms about it, it's no doubt a sensitive subject but like wait to see the video at least? with her saying "meta black dahlia with a where do we go from here ending" it doesn't really sound Lana is gonna at all portray BD's death in this music video, the lyrics/storyline of Candy Necklace itself don't imply that either .. i have a feeling it could be very much like what Tarantino did with Sharon Tate in OUATIH you know? Give others a memory of her other than "that girl who got brutally murdered"
  11. exactly i actually see Ocean Blvd-Sweet-A&W as a very cohesive storyline, heck there are even ways one could include The Grants in this, but we'll leave it out for now but like Ocean Blvd is about opening yourself up to someone new, being vulnerable, sharing your deepest fears/secrets n hoping they'll accept and love you anyway- very much beginning of a relationship vibes... then Sweet comes, we find out they broke up at the beginning of it, but we also get to see into what the relationship was like to her at the peak when she thought they were gonna be end-game & was dreaming of the future...... n then there is A&W which is straight up the heartbreak, the downfall- she found out this man she loved was actually cheating on/with her from "open me up, tell me you like me, fuck me to death, love me until i love myself" to "do you want children? do you wanna marry me?" to "it's not about having someone to love me anymore, this is the experience of being an american whore" it's so genius tbh.. side a is a full 10/10 for me... and on Sweet specifically: it just sounds so classic, so timeless. like that melody could've been ripped from the great american songbook istg
  12. hmm. yeah well then she could be in for some criticisms for sure depending in what direction the video goes but at least she is no stranger to that i guess. Lana already has such a bad rap within feminist groups, sadly imo bc you can actually tell she cares a great deal for women thru her discog but people get hung up on her never taking up the label itself, so i don't see her getting cut any slack :/ it's not like we have a lot to go off yet- the video isn't out n we only have a short visualiser but surely if people insist on conclusions already, there are "kinder" ones that could be drawn from it too so far. like i said, i instantly thought of the whole "Don't forget me" motif.... but i also understand the more pessimistic, outraged approach is much appreciated online IDK! i'm interested to see where it goes... its surely a sensitive subject, no doubt about it & CN is certainly eerie but i'd think Lana knows there are certain lines that shouldn't be crossed with her portrayal.... time will tell! "with a where do we go from here ending" sounds promising
  13. she posted this! i think it's interesting given the natalie wood (another hollywood starlet who's death remains unsolved/"mysterious") inspired cover art, i don't know the intention yet but i wonder if it just ties in w the whole "don't forget me" theme that the album/title track specifically is so heavily based around. or based on everything you just shared ab Short, I wouldn't be surprised if Lana also partially relates to her in the sense that ppl cant stop misconstruing things about her/her life? still dont get why ppl are mad over it tho.. the damn thing isn't even out yet lol. people just can't wait to draw conclusions from literally nothing & be angry ig
  14. I so love this analysis, it makes it even interesting to look at the title itself again.. "did you know that there's a tunnel under ocean blvd?" like yes, literally there is the jergins tunnel but also..... whats an ocean (ignoring the blvd here shortly)- it's beautiful to look at but when you get under it there's all kind of horrible things... it's murky, it's deep, dark & blue... like trauma n pain. what's a tunnel? like that person said, it starts out dark, but it always ends with a/the light. almost like the title is a double entendre & one of the meanings is "did you know that there is a way to the light after the darkness?" i also find it interesting bc a user on here pointed out all of the posters saying : did you know.. that there's a "tunnel under ocean blvd" the quotations could def imply that it was also a metaphor for something else all along
  15. at one point i thought it may be "wool" tbh ? there's an idiom "to wrap one up in cotton wool" which means to be overprotective of someone.. maybe it's a play on that, like she feels she's been coddled in ways & it's led her into making certain mistakes? or she just rly likes wearing like.. wool blend cardigans or its not wool at all idfk, i wish she would do lyrics again in physical copies</3
