Yes I could get with the cardigan and bows from the album cover as falling in to the coquette kind of theme, but I think coquette is too narrow of an aesthetic overall for the album. For some reason I don’t see the aesthetic as so dainty- probably just because the songs are raw and aggressive in a way.

Definitely don’t see the aesthetic being coquette.. most likely 60s, from the album cover inspiration, her photoshoot with W, the way she styled herself for the billboard women in music.. and definitely sonically.. the backing singers etc really chime in to that old soul sound. Even the shimmy shimmy koko bop reference I definitely see her bringing out the vintage dresses again

Very true- I never bought the chemtrails one but I think much of the same. I by chance happened to be online when the assai one dropped for ocean blvd, so I bought it.. and funnily enough it worked out cheaper than the indie preorder, so it actually saved money to cancel preorder for it. But buying it after at high price, I don’t think would be worth it.. though it’s a nice to have for a collector I suppose

This thread definitely made me feel like.. ancient I’m 27.. remember being 16 when BTD dropped and feel like this was prime time to hear that record.. and the albums have aged so well along with me.. I don’t think if I was 13 now I’d really enjoy Lanas stuff? Feels so heavy in an authentic way.. I enjoy it now because I feel like it’s so relatable lol

Festivals & Tour 2023
Thats why they call me Dita replied to Rust Dress's topic in 2023 Performances
If she’s gonna tour she better announce it before April so I know whether or not to put myself through the stress of Glastonbury resale -
It’s a shame because I just don’t think it’s the right festival for her. It’s inaccessible to a lot of her of her UK fans, and @glastonburywtf is right, at present, with the GP she doesn’t have the pulling power for main stage Glastonbury, even headlining the other stage might not be what she’s expecting
