  2. There is something to them, they feel so nostalgic and dark… like a depressing teen coming out movie, LGBTQ+ legends!

their first album is the best, but feels short. I much rather prefer It this way

Exactly! That's why I have high hopes for this new single. Apparently it's an Army of Love sequel so that should be a whole bop as well.

    Has she anounce anything yet?

havent heard anything since Shadow Works… Blossom, Savage and Better are really good, hope she continúes that route this time with less interludes maybe :oic2:

  4. I feel like she presents herself in a very angry /political way and comes off as unlikeable but i really do believe she is very talented. And with this last album she has proven herself! No big productions or promotion needed just pure art And BOPs…

amazing how Trent Reznors production works so well with her songwritting, one of those surprisingly good pairings. Manic was all over the place even if some of the songs were good It didnt make sense why leave Nightmare out when Its a fantastic track!

Here she showcases a lot if variety without going off topic and mantaining the medieval clautrophobic atmosphere though the album. My top Standouts are:

    1. Honey

    2. Easier than Lying

    3. The Tradition

    4. 1121

    5. Whispers

    6. Bells in Santa Fe

Nightmare (reprise) is aslo a nice addition and they have reworked it flawlessly! I never though I would enjoy a project of hers as much as I did this (even 1 year later)

  5. Also these last Frozen, Materil Gurl And Hung Up remixes are hideous and feel like a total joke to her already brilliant cataloge…

Someone stop her from shtting all over her legacy :paris:

  6. Don’t you feel sorry :fabcat:

Don’t you feel sorry for me :crai:

Cause I wont change my story :rollin:

Dont take All my glory :defeated:

dont you feel sorry for me :sluttybunny:

I would like if Broken got some attention from fans, Its a great song with impecable lyrics and immaculate production in the bridge!! Such a shame It was only a B-side for Celebration… deserved much more

I guess Its a hidden gem

  7. Bon Appetit was a guilty pleasure by Its own right. Nothing groundbreaking but she look es si good and campy in the video…

CTTR was great too, for me It was with Swish Swish :smh: were the era started going south…

  8. I really like her artsy style, no one does nonesense like her and i love It! Also prefer when she doesnt explain her stuff, something misterious about it!

the first 3 EPs were top tier (Hello, Casanova and Regulars still untouched) But she kind of missed the mark with the CG album in my opinion, also Glam! and Prívate Life slap!! :kris:

is there a masterpost Anywhere with her unreleased stuff? Thankss

Chantaje is from that album? :ohno: well now I know my first skip :lolliney:

    It is… hahahahah

latin popstars used to dominate the 00s like Paulina Rubio and Thalía, even Monica Naranjo (Spanish but very popular in México) and nowadays they either dont make music anymore or they have sold out to generic reggaeton!

Paulina Rubio has a great self titled album full of hits and the follow ups until Ananda arent bad either… nowadays shes kind of a trainwreck And a mess wich I Love

YES. Sale El Sol was the last album I liked of herse. All her older material is much better than most of her recent output. The only song I'm sure I liked from after Sale El Sol is Chasing Shadows, a bous track (:deadbanana:) on her 2014 self-titled.

I've been told however, that some tracks in El Dorado are worth listening so I guess I'll check it out as well.

The only songs I enjoy there maybe are Nada and Amarillo, And even those feel like a mellow version of Sale el Sol

mixed with the atroucious Chantaje, Trap And La Bicicleta :emma:

    OMG i found my people!

Sale el Sol was the last glimpse of "old" Shakira I saw.

On the brightside, nothing will ever be worse than that Black Eyed Peas ....thing.

    I forgot Sale el Sol!!

Very inspiring lyrics and hook, the álbum overall was not that bad, maybe the singles werent my cup of tea but Tú Boca, Antes de las Seis and Devoción sounded great! Still Very danceable and true to her roots

The spanish version of Cant Forget to Forget You (solo) is also a guilty pleasure of mine

    Finally someone said it :gclap:

tbh I despise the new song BUT I'm glad she released it because of its meaning and well, it's a hit, so good for her! But I truly don't like it :lolliney:

Its a shame cause I consider her very clever and camp with her lyrics plus she even produces her own stuff…

would love another Ciega, Sordomuda,  Octavo Día, Objeción Tango, Te Dejó Madrid, Poem to a Horse, Dont Bother, Gitana… Very unique to her style

even when she explored new genres she succeeded like with La Tortura (One Big hit :kris:) or Las de la Intención!

  13. Don’t know about new leaks but some of her older outtakes are really good. Also, why wouldnt she release them or even include Dear Society. I consider them better than some of the songs in Life Support:

    1. Play Dirty

    2. Anonymous (Maybe a bit dated)

    3. Lie to Me

    4. Dramatic

    5. Lonely Heart Killer

    6. Witch Doctor

I like the new stuff But I hope she releases some upbeat songs like Boysht or Follow the White Rabbit :gasp:

it's time to raise your standards :xgiggle:

personally i'd say 40-65 is approx. middle aged considering that a lot of people live past 75 now and that 65 is the generally accepted "senior" starting age

thats true! Im 25 But Dont feel like 30 is anything near middle age

Also Madonna And Kylie gave us career highlights in their 30s 40s like Ray Of Light, Confessions on a Dancefloor, Fever and Aphrodite to name a few

i could see that happening with Mildred, she has that star quality :agree:

Just listen to No Doubt lol- maybe not though is ska punk isn’t your thing

    I have!!

Its my Life, Spiderwebs, Dont Speak, Hella Good and Ex-Girlfriend are great!! Love that 90s teenage drama movie vibe

But I meant more current songs

  16. ADIAML is not bad but not up there with FROOT or Electra Heart in my opinion…

EH has some of her most Iconic and clever songs like:

    1. How to Be A Heartbreaker

    2. Primadonna

    3. Starring Role

    4. Living Dead

    5. Teen Idle

    6. Sex Yeah

    7. Just Desserts (I count It here)

FROOT overall is a better, more cohesive and mature album (kind of like a last record with lifelong lessons) and thats why I think she wont be able to top that for a while:

    1. Im a Ruin (reminds me of ROL by Madonna) :trisha:

    2. Savages

    3. Better than That

    4. Forget

    5. FROOT

    6. Immortal

It really does pass the test of time with Its simple yet effective production

I like her being political, but seems that has been her main focus this past 2 albums and I miss her views in more personal stuff like she did en EH (her lyrics have been not that good lately).

While I see where you're coming from (the singles as a bunch have zero connection between them except for maybe the first three), the Problématique album was is very cohesive and solid in my opinion. The Future Starts Now, Problématique, All She Wants, Born Again, Confession, Revelations, Hit It From the Back, Your Turn to Cry, Je T'adore, etc.... I think it really had the potential.

However, that messy rollout was not helping, and so didn't her support for Puke wbk.

I guess if Problématique had happened as an era with a proper rollout and promotion, Unholy would've still happened (it was Sam's song after all) but not If Jesus Was a Rockstar and Brrr, or at least not right now.

I'm still waiting for Problématique to be unscrapped but that's to dream a lot.

Problematique has some BOPs like Je T’adore, All She Wants and Your Tourn To Cry, but some other songs sound unfinished or like fillers. Others like Hit It From the Back, although very catchy, dont feel connected to the test… I Feel like if the album was shortened to 11-12 song It could have been a solid one. But for any reason they put cocnuts in the mix for tik tok plays…

Brrr (Cold) sounds a little dated with that Sophie like production (1, 2, 3 dayz up). Not bad, but suits better un the first era

  18. No hate but dont get the appeal to her music and How It becomes that viral when it sounds so annoying! My father asked me about her the other day cause he liked her last album… And lets say thats not good! His music taste is so basic I can already tell all songs sound alike…

She has potencial and that can be seen in Treat Myself (her best effort to date in my opinion) with a few BOPs here and there.

    for me her best are:

    1. NO (si catchy and at least not related to that 50s sound she has recicled a million times already)

    2. Genetics

    3. Kindly Calm Me Down

    4. Aint Your Mama (guilty pleasure)

    5. Lips are Moving

  19. Love Angel Music Baby really is pop perfección! She released that masterpiece and dissapeared to live in the shadows (Not counting Sweet Scape) :defeated: WYWF is a lifechanging experience and Serious deserved better!

Does anybody have a list or masterpost of her unreleased music? And is It good? Havent seen any of her leaks

  20. Loved her Dangerous Woman era and My Everything was good too, just to take a spot In the mainstream… Love her as a vocalist but Not that much as a songwritter. Positions and Sweetner were a mess. Thank You Next is good and has some BOPs, not really my cup of tea but I see Why many consider It her best

Just another popstar jumping on the Beauty Line train like Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Selena Gómez and Kesha… Don’t know how to feel about it, makes me cringe a little bit :azealia:

  21. Stripped is a masterpiece and doesnt get old, from the Music vídeos, to the singles And deep cuts… Very atmospheric and reflective of its time! what a mastermind she had, Its understable how she didnt Keep up with that after she outdid herself so early in her career. Like I would change nothing flaws and all, and thats very unusual

    my top are:

    1. Fighter

    2. Beautiful

    3. Get Mine, Get Yours

    4. Dirrty

    5. Infatuation

    6. Im Okay

Back to Basics is good too but maybe too long (I know thats her thing, but It could be better with some filler songs cut).

After Bionic Its very clear to me she lost interest and proceeded to rely in her legacy (that Las Vegas residency really is popstar cementery :rip:).

  22. I relistened to her album and Its better than what I remembered, nothing groundbreaking but good production and nice strong melodies (if we dont take that Girls fiasco into consideration). Also the deluxe tracks are surprisingly good, the Hell of a Life run until Soul Survivor flows really well :illumilana2:

Somehow I can see Jessie J or Sam Smith singing these along with I Want Love and Diamonds

  23. She’s not that likeable and comes off as fake to me, don’t know why :xgiggle:

Also her music since she got signed to a record label has been all over the place. Its like she cant stick to a theme, first Malibu, the french euro dance with TFSN (unpopular opinion but I Dont mind It being longer), to cocnuts again and then Unholy and IJWAR… 0 cohesion And punch so people end up losing interest! Not to mention her twitter fights and the Dr Luke fiasco :wowcry:

she had some Clarity moments (pun intented) with Icy and TOTL but that hype will die soon if she doesnt put her sht together

I think she should have continued with the reagge tropical sound she was going for in Lenfant Terrible, Choker, Break the AC and Painkillas!! Those are some of her best :bebe:

  24. Sorry, she seems really nice but her music since Revival (and even then with the exception of the singles) sounds bland, generic and with no soul. She neither has an amazing voice or stage presence to make up for that so… the last EP in spanish was another try to capitalize on latin music And now the beauty line… I Don’t know… Also she has dragged the JB topic way too much It gets old!

I see her more like an actor for real, she has a cute personality… but whatching her have that much success in music when she isnt that good is painfull :awkney2:
