literally why i opened this thread omg :air2:

do you guys have any recommendations for her songs that sound similar to crush and american teenager? love her darker sounding stuff too but those two songs are sooo good to blast in the car

On Facebook, several Swifties ("top fans", too) are revolting and complain about her one bonus track per vinyl.

eh, it's shitty but there's not much we can do even if there is a big uproar about it. for many big artists nowadays making money is equally if not more important than making art (or making their fans happy for that matter.) i've learned to ignore it and just buy the variant i think is prettiest

  3. i wasn't really interested in buying physical copies of music until i was like 12 and i think the first CD i bought was cry baby by melanie martinez at one of her shows in 2016. but if we're talking digital i was busy illegally downloading hollywood undead and avril lavigne songs at 8 :creepna:

Maybe I’ve been blinded by the simplicity of her bops.. maybe I should go and discover Taylor’s better writing

some songs i would recommend that focus more on her songwriting if you're interested are better man, the lakes, tolerate it, the archer (although that one's controversial because it's considered "too boring" by a lot of the fandom), hoax, evermore, it's time to go, and honestly a lot more. most of her in-depth writing can be seen in her albums folklore, evermore and a lot of red but you can find her writing skills on any album really. a lot of people are only think of her hits when they think of her writing, and i probably wouldn't think she was that great either if all heard when i saw her name was shake it off and bad blood, but she goes far past that superficial sound :true:

  5. ik this is a website for discussion but do the ts haters on here really have to come running in everytime the thread is bumped :eyes: i'm genuinly not trying to be rude, i just don't understand the need to spread negatively so much

  6. i had the weirdest fucking dream last night that i met taylor in a meijer. for some reason she was just standing by the lettuce in the blue and gold lover bodysuit :trisha2:

maybe this is a sign that i need to take a break from the internet

she’s a great artist, but her fans are SO annoying, if you have any opinion different than theirs you will get destroyed by an entire army of swifties. not even this hate mass gets them to be a little more down to earth. it’s pretty tiring :adele:

not hate but isn't that pretty much all fandoms at this point? i totally agree that swifties can get really annoying and since it's such a massive fan base you see the toxicity way more than you do for other artists, but really any popular artist rn has an incredibly annoying and defensive fan base. not writing this because i disagree with what you said or am offended, i just genuinely think it's an issue with the culture right now that everyone gets dogpiled for having differing opinions, especially on things as trival as favorite celebrities

I have a serious question. I really love Lana, I'm a fan since 2011 and her music got me through some really difficult situations and I would love to see her live but I'm 33 now. I don't know anyone who likes Lana. Would it be kind of ridiculous to go to a festival where everyone will probably be a lot younger than me? And I'm probable getting old because I don't know anyone else playing on that day :defeated:

if you want to see her, go see her. don't let the fear of being judged stop you. obviously i can't speak for everyone in my age group (i'm 19), but i don't see any good reason why someone shouldn't be able to enjoy a concert just because of their age, and you shouldn't let the kids who are snotty about it bother you. you'll never see them again. get your ticket girl
