This! It starts of with a very pretty instrumental, then progressively gets eerier. So unsettling

I guess unpopular opinion but I love it. I love how dark, unsettling, and eerie it feels. The production is incredible too.

An illegal upload of SYTH on Spotify had over 1.5 million streams per day, but that was a month ago. It definitely won't flop.

Today is the second anniversary of a friend’s passing and in three weeks, it’ll be the anniversary of my mother’s passing. This one really hit hard today. Gorgeous song.

While it’s lovely sounding and beautifully written it’s not what I’d have went with to pre-empt the album …  definitely will take a few listens to get into and I don’t think it’s a song I’ll have on repeat - although that is subject to change (I didnt like Terrence when it debuted on the radio but it’s now something I play often)

the track list for this album is long so I don’t think we really know what to expect with the overall vibes of the album, and I did like DYKTTATOUB and A&W

About the intro; I talked about this back on the pre-release thread under spoiler tags

"In music, call-and-response is a compositional technique that works similarly to a conversation. A “phrase” of music serves as the “call,” and is “answered” by a different phrase of music. These phrases can be either vocal, instrumental, or both [...] If you think of gospel music, for example, you will immediately recognize the technique: it’s when the pastor or song leader calls out or siwelp not her explaining why she kept it right as I was typing this LMAO idk I still think it makes sense ngs a line, and the congregation or choir responds."

This is my personal interpretation of why Lana chose to have the choir girls on the intro

welp not her explaining why she kept it right as I was typing this LMAO idk I still think it makes sense though
