I've read once that Lana assisted Dua for New Love but I don't think it was really a reliable source. Although, I don't really think that Lana would write a song like this, it's 100% Emile's influence because his style is very recognizable when he's working with other artists too.

Idk why people assume that radio mainstream chart hits are pop bops because like billboard hot 100 chart's top 3 are like country songs (these top 3 songs are trash tho) these days the boundaries between mainstream and non-mainstream are really fluid, any kind of song can top the charts honestly So I mean, if Lana did heavy promo, all of her songs could've been in top 10 charts but she doesn't want that and I respect her choice. My unpopular opinion is that I love the production in Text Book, especially in the start because it's sounds so mysterious, like it's literally from a mystery movie BBS is my favorite song from Banisters too, I love the build-ups in the song. Both songs were produced by Zach Dawes too, so maybe we can expect that sound from him (maybe Banisters era outtakes have these kind of songs too)
