FINALLY a version of BAIT that has both the original uncensored lyrics and the extended breakdown!!
-
I'm new around here but I just wanted to compliment how effortlessly Slayyyter evokes a ~2010s Britney sound in songs like Alone and now Tear Me Open. The breathiness, the use of head voice, the themes, even the instrumentals really feel like if hyperpop was happening back when Britney made Circus. I think Brit songs like Blur are the easiest to compare them to, but generally even for just a casual Britney fan the influence is undeniable and the success at emulating that style is incredibly impressive. I've never heard an artist say they're inspired by Britney and then go on to actually sound so much like her.

I found a set on the d-site of all of them (just by searching Kim Petras Symphonic I think) but I can't guarantee they're any better than YT quality/YTrips... They're a super cute cover though so that's what I use! I absolutely can't believe she hasn't released the Symphonic Sessions as an EP at least; hoping it's just to save them for the Deluxe...

Tour news! At least two shows have been rescheduled: Phoenix from 11/2 to 11/21, and San Diego from 11/22 to 11/5. Praying she doesn't cancel/reschedule mine because I took the day/s off work At least two venues now have special "buy 3 get 1 free deals: YouTube Theater and Coca-Cola Roxy. Kim posted this to Insta: & tour starts officially in THREE DAYS (Sept. 27) in Austin!! So excited to see her perform. Still haven't made my dream setlist because I don't want to expect anything and be disappointed... I know I'll be happy no matter what she plays
-
I just want you to know that I have ALWAYS used EXCLUSIVELY your cover and that it is by far the best one ever made. I love how well it fits the bubblegum-pop vibe, the playfulness, the overexaggerated Euro themes... Thanks so much for sharing!! Not you accidentally solving the tracklist issue I've been having all week...

YES!! I can ONLY end Problematique with Left My Body, personally. I put Your Time To Cry after as a bonus track because I do think it does nicely that way (every time I listen to it lately I think about how we could have had YTTC instead of Alone as her retro-bop-reimagined song, but let's not talk about that). You're in good company & Kim is BACK ON TWITTER with a default icon and a bunch of posts of the shirts!! Shirts: And MORE (FULL?) STEVEN KLEIN CAR SHOOT! And her name is STILL trending on Twitter, as it has been since... what, evening of 9/18? She IS the conversation.
-
OK NEWS! Kim got suspended from Twitter (probably for the tits thing) & new merch dropped! Literally gagging at the shirts and their descriptions like I need real photos.
-
OK but when are we going to talk about how she says "mansions" like mehzhuness in Confession. I can NEVER hear "mansions" in the main vocals and I don't understand how I'm supposed to! Help?? What I heard from the uploader was that it was the highest quality available file but (like AtomicMess said) is just an early demo looping the verses. People were asking so we could at least listen to the track in HQ somehow
-
Literally I keep waking up so grateful that it happened... WE DID IT!!
-
So now that Problematique is officially out on streaming (with very few tragic exceptions)........ if YOU were making someone an "Essential Kim Petras" or "Kim Petras Greatest Hits" playlist, what would you put on it? Struggling because everything she drops truly is a banger :x
-
LITERALLY Problematique just doesn't feel right without Left My Body as the closer and Your Time to Cry as a deluxe track But it's okay I can just put the lossless versions alongside the leaks in my tracklist All EPs, IIRC. Kinda silly distinction given the length but I guess she wanted to make a splash with her debut album? And now look where we are I heard Keep It was never exported but I'll keep dreaming...
-
YES thank you! I hope we get Keep It someday... You forgot Malibu just like her team
-
PROBLEMATIQUE SONGS ON TOUR????
-
Singles: Future Starts Now FtB: Hit it From the Back Revelations Sex Talk Leaked but not on Problematique official release: Left My Body () Your Time to Cry () Hoping she just has plans for the other two (& that somehow we get Keep It) because they're too good to waste on not releasing...
-
APPLE MUSIC HAS IT NOW!!
-
It's for sure AI but this is cute while we wait!
-
I'm definitely not getting my heart set on anything, but her Tweets convinced me it's actually something she wants/intends to do even if it doesn't work out for some reason. I don't see why else she would've Tweeted that weird sound snippet thing or all the croissants and French stuff if she didn't at least plan to release Problematique. Or maybe it's all one big fakeout
-
People keep saying this like it's insider information which it very well could be but that's just in line with the rest of the releases on the graphic
-
I was surprised people assumed it would be released at 12AM. For some reason I thought it made sense to assume it would be released 9AM PST/12PM EST like the Symphonic Sessions...
-
I feel like I've seen you drop this tracklist every 6 months but every 6 months you're right!
-
So what do we think the last one is going to be? My money's on either Thousand Pieces (ballad, she's performed it live before) or King of Hearts (King of Hearts). I am secretly hoping she does IJWAR though just for how funny it would be (and the fact that I personally do very much like the song).
-
The way my jaw DROPPED when she sang Nikki's verse... if you had told me she would do it better than Nikki I would've said no way but she made it sound like no one else was ever on the song. And the BREATH CONTROL!! Literally the symphonic version gives Alone the tragic desperate vibes I always loved from the chorus. It's kind of funny they sampled a 90s trance song and made it into a vaguely trap-inspired modern pop song only to then release all the remixes turning it BACK into dance music and now this symphonic version which is EASILY the furthest from the original sample turns out to be the best OK you're right (and to be honest anything could replace Sex Talk and Coconuts and sound more cohesive-- shoutout to the people putting IJWAR on FtB) but also what about Sex Talk and Try Again together? I kind of feel like Sex Talk is closer to Try Again than the rest of Problematique, and Try Again is closer to Sex Talk than the rest of FtB era. Maybe with Sex Up For Fun? Could be their own little EP.
-
EXACTLY and they really let her voice shine!! She has such powerful vocals and I'm so glad we finally got to see what she does with Minute live Tour can't come soon enough!!
-
There's a part of me that lives in an alternate universe where the major celebrity collab of the Feed the Beast era is David Guetta. Just feels like such an opportunity for her as the dance club queen...
-
It's kind of wild to see what we ultimately got as an album given the outtakes. IMO Lolita, Power, Try Again, etc. while fantastic songs don't fit the vibe (club bangers) of all the other songs created and ultimately selected for the album. uhoh, King of Hearts, Castle in the Sky, etc. all really feel cohesive to me as a record, and I don't think the (otherwise fantastic) recordings we've heard for the other prospective songs would've sounded good on the final. Try Again especially really does feel like a first step away from Problematique as opposed to something that makes sense on the final record.
