It's more of a power/rock ballad. If it's easy to sing along, then it's definitely suited for radio. Summertime Sadness (the original) is kind of similar in structure and patterns to Black Beauty. That song received lots of airplay here in Germany. Video Games even went #1. Yall are seriously underestimating Lana. Her music is more popular acclaimed than you guys think. It's just...that she doesn't get enough exposure. National Anthem - an actual bop, received no airplay but most likely would have in other territories where it wasn't released.

Radio is not as conservative as you say it is lmao...Pumped Up Kicks is about a guy shooting his classmates and it got massive airplay. You have a shit ton of songs by male and female artists alike with rather obvious double-entendres. S&M by Rihanna, several Nicki Minaj songs, Mike Posner's I Took a Pill in Ibiza. ...Cola is harmless. Replace Pussy with "my lips they" and you're fine. Brooklyn Baby could have replaced the hydroponic weed line with the line from the first chorus.

Woooaahhhh I will not let anyone speak of Cola in that way. It would have gotten a lot of airplay. It's one of her most catchy songs and a clean version could have easily been sent to radio. The song is really good. The lyrics, the production, the vibe. A perfect summer single. I seriously don't understand where all the hate is coming from back in the days people were rating it as one of the best songs from Paradise.

I am a little bitter, I can't deny it. Still, my point stands. What she does is not a progression cause if she did progress, she would have done what Lana did and carry her essence through all kinds of genres she explored. Sadly for Gaga, her talent was never the main focus. Her name alone gives it away... Is Gaga talented? Hell yes. Does she know how to use her talent? No. She uses her voice in all the wrong ways and don't tell me I don't know about singing cause I do. I'm a singer myself and I have taken singing lessons. Gaga belts/yells in the most unnecessary moments. She has a really bad intonation and she is usually oversinging rather than singing with emotion. Listen to her Red and Blue EP she sounds like a different person. Her voice sounds amazing! Nothing compared how it sounds these days.

Gaga has completely lost me with this one. Evolving is one thing but completely abandoning what you became famous for and what made you unique out of sheer insecurity is bullshit. That's not evolving, that's being in denial. This type of music doesn't suit her. She looks ridiculous on stage and she really doesn't have the voice for this kind of music. Like, she's trying SO HARD to be recognized as a vocalist but her tone really is what kept people from doing so. She's a good singer but overall her voice is just not that pleasant, especially if she fucking oversings on these damn songs like she does. Anyway, it's obvious that this is going to flop. Funny how she indeed ended up being the new Cindy Lauper rather than the new Madonna. And Dope is her absolute worst song ever. This bitch simply sucks at ballads, she just doesn't get it and keeps trying and failing. Y'all wouldn't give an ounce of a shit about her music if it wasn't Gaga. It's really just a matter on how you look at it. I think none of us are here for rude behaviour, cat fights, etc. If we're being 100% realistic here it's just inevitable though. Either, we give people an outlook where they can rant about things they don't like or we let them do exactly that in the status updates, threads, etc. It's really not supposed to encourage people but rather to keep drama (if there is any) in one place. Add some rules like "not coming for other people's look", "mental illnesses or diseases", etc. I have been called "gorilla-faced with a Rihanna-esque forehead", "ugly" and what not. I have treated people unrespectfully in the past too but that's exactly where I'm coming from with this. There is nothing wrong with a little drama as long as there are proper rules regarding and where it can be said. It's actually back already, sis! This place is not DDoS protected like most forums, that's where all the spam and the hacks are coming from.

It truly does. Like it will be an absolute mess within that section but ppl will learn to take it more lightly and I think it's better to have all the drama concentraded in one spot rather than having to deal with it all over the forum.

Definitely here for this! Especially since a lot of new members didn't get to see the older interviews. @ was in charge of it. Maybe he'd be in for a reboot? I would like to do a series of Lana song rates since ppl have been trying to do them ever since Moy left. They never happened unfortunately. I really like the idea of time-zoned mods. I think maybe two per each time-zone? The larger the team, the bigger the input will be and the less pressure will be on few ppl (as it is rn with like 2 mods). Another suggestion from me would be regarding the current banning/WP situation. I think the LB rules should definitely be updated and there should be a new system regarding bans and WPs in general that make them more reasonable if they are given out by the mods. As of now, it doesn't seem transparent enough imo and the drama tends to spill everywhere on the forum. I would suggest adding a section entitled "No Holds Barred" as part of "The Lounge" (oop Lana reference right there...) That's a place that ppl can deal with personal drama EXCLUSIVELY. Everything said or done in there should remain there. I know that may seem a little weird but I've been on a forum that has such a section and it actually works.
