These all had to be in my most played songs in iTunes throughout 8th grade Cue mental image of pubescent me dancing on a table like Cassie

I think the Infected Mushroom thing is a sample more than a co-production. Also she was in the studio with Dallas Austin. Idk, her albums always seem to have at least one surprise producer.

How can I fix what I fucked up? I knew you were no angel

Yep that's her! I remember she said she had to google who Perez was so I'm sure she has an idea of what scum he is. I hope she didn't have to put up with him backstage u g h at least Chloe would be partially bearable despite her trout face. Wasn't free for me, I think she stopped that early this year. Certainly before I got into her in May! I bought her EP twice :hairflip2: (Making up for the ~20 people I gave it to for free on this very forum jfc) Also I really hate life I woke up early to catch the pre-order for her next LA show and it sold out Already on Stubhub for Beyonce prices Why the fuck can't ticket hoarders give anyone a fucking chance at original price?

Oh Charli fuck that's soon Unless she's gonna sit on the video until later this year. But new material for her second US leg would be perfect Comforting that she's far enough along to have a single choice prepared. Isn't Sky Ferreira there? Let me take several steps back before I hype myself too much omg it can't happen Now let's cry for the lack of a Grins or Stay Away video/single...True Romance really won't feel like any kind of album era in the future but that's alright because it's still A+

Gaga happened No but just the sound changed right around 2008 and only Rihanna survived. Ugh Nelly Furtado, so many bops on that collage

Okay reflecting on it, the lyrics to Hot Hot Hot are much better but the vocals in Big Bad Wolf sound much less restrained and seem to suit the melody more.

Shame she slinked away, but yes that live experience my American brethren Hope you could at least hear her. I wonder if this or any of the European shows were crazier.

The Exorcist was duuuumb tbh Uh I'm easily scared but the new Evil Dead is both freaky as fuck and reallllly good. Also The Strangers fucked me up. And where I live looks exactly like The Hills Have Eyes but I got over that in middle school. The Woman in Black was pretty creepy but that might be bc I saw it in a super nice theater so it was enhanced. And the fuckin doll movie, Dead Silence? Goddamn. But don't even put me in a room with an alien movie like I'd rather have demons.

Like a video megamix? I will PM you (and whoever else wants them--@@Rebel?) Thanks! It really is a clear story when you look at it the right way, her tracklist just baffles me. Especially confused at her putting The State of Dreaming so early.

Yes ty, the ARTPOP shoot is back to being flawless after the last weird picture

Any love for this song? I think it's adorable, deffo my favorite of the three Scarface sucks but damn LaCrate bless you for Daddy Issues.
-
Thank you! It makes the album a lot cooler and more palatable for me. I explained the order some pages back but it's basically like love lost (1-5), motivation to reinvent (6-9), embracing a femme fatale persona (10-13), resulting unhappiness/getting too far into her character and realizing it was never really the solution (14-17), and then redemption/return to self (18-20).

Update on ~cohesive Electra Heart~ playlist (which is pretty much the only way I listen to the album unless I'm listening to the CD in the car) 1. Radioactive 2. Lonely Hearts Club 3. Power & Control 4. Lies 5. Starring Role 6. Teen Idle 7. EVOL 8. Just Desserts 9. Sex Yeah 10. How to Be a Heartbreaker 11. Bubblegum Bitch 12. Primadonna 13. Homewrecker 14. Living Dead 15. Electra Heart 16. Valley of the Dolls (Su-Barbie-A Version) 17. Buy the Stars 18. Hypocrates 19. The State of Dreaming (Archetypes Version) 20. Fear and Loathing "Electra Heart" is a great addition because in this format it seems to shine a light on her regrets with this persona. "Can we go back to the start?"

Lana Del Rey Officially Announces TROPICO, "Coming to a City Near You"
Sitar replied to Sitar's topic in New Releases
She announced the Ride premiere two days before and I had to drop everything for it so get ready everyone -
Fair enough, and I've stuck around for a reason. It's definitely my album of the year And her second album sounds really promising. I still think she kinda channels cHaRli xCx in her mixtapes so that's cool.

LANALYSIS: Relating Songs To Known/Assumed Relationships
Sitar replied to Sitar's topic in Lana Thoughts
If Liz says her anniversary with Mike is on December 5, 2009, it stands to reason that they started dating the year before in 2008, in time for the things to fall apart after her album was recalled and to write "Afraid" in 2010. "Jump", however, appeared earliest in 2007. I feel confident they didn't date any longer because of the amount of men we have to discuss. Take Arthur Lynn--when were they photographed together? The Phenomena was active through 2007 so I bet they dated then and probably into the Sirens era. I think the only reason she dedicated "Jump" it to Mike is because he's featured in the video. -
Tbh best case scenario for me would be that she kept making goth myspace pop through her career because it's my favorite aspect of her music. So that's just personal taste + what I'm into usually. Like Photography, Dinosaur Sex, I Wanna Be Darth Vader, Machines--these are all at the top of her catalog for me.

Speculations on Lana's relationship with her mother
Sitar replied to Whoopiedoo's topic in Lana Thoughts
It is one thing to call her prison sex dreams fabricated but to imply, "Well, Lana's an artist so she's expressing hatred towards her mother in her music to convey something deeper but really she loved her," just ain't cutting it. -
Her graphics are giving me Ke$ha teas so far
