Well, her dad is a proven millionaire, which is the only reason any of that initial criticism seemed plausible. Her first label even gave her money to live in a trailer in New Jersey while making her album--no daddy involved yet. However, after that album was released for three months, she wanted it withdrawn. Her father helped with that, buying back the rights to her album. It sounds sketchy on paper--unsuccessful album, daddy buys the rights, returns on the scene with huge lips for round two. However, there's no proof that he bought her actual opportunities. For instance, her first label signed her based on a local talent show that she was in and Interscope signed her after she put "Video Games" on YouTube independently. She does exacerbate some of these claims with lyrics like I never have to work 'cause my daddy is rich, though. And he may have paid for her to get a nosejob, but that's actually not that uncommon. As for actual success? Not manufactured, in my opinion.
